Here are some pictures of the engine. Unforunately the shaker covers a lot of it, but you can see plenty of the blue and the engine looks much more finished.

I am having trouble posting the pictures. I have reduced them to a small enough size, but they still won't post. Here is a link to the full size pictures. http://mustangjack.com/Pictures/

I just got my C&L from Kevin over the weekend and it looks sharp as heck! I got mine in black and got him to take off the C&L logo. I will post some pics today
Just a note to everyone on the list, make sure your cam covers you are sending in are in good/like new condition. If they are painted or polished or damaged in some way, you need to let us know because it could affect the process and the powder coat finish for the next person on the list. If they are painted or something, let Kevin know since you could be charged extra for the extra prep/repair. Thanks for your understanding.
Good news, I've got a lead on another set of covers, and Dan's covers are at Bill's, and a few are sending in their own covers to get done, so the list should be speeding up pretty soon.

I haven't seen this mentioned on this thread but I was looking at my stock covers this weekend and noticed a sticker with lettering and bar coding on mine about 6 X 2 inches in size on the left cover. Does anybody else have this and how is that being removed before shipment back for painting.
What does the sticker signify and should it be kept.
Thanks

Thanks
I was able to get the sticker peeled off after driving it for awhile and the engine was warm. It wouldn't budge when the engine was cold. I will try to clean up the sticky remains with goo gone before I send them in for the next person.
This is what is printed on the sticker top right
REP 4.6L
E1900 280205 17072404
And on the bottom left it has
5S-836-AA
With barcodes next to each line. I'm going to keep it with my documents but does anybody know what this is??
It doesn't seem like a part number to me but I could be wrong.

I need to know about Legend Lime too. I bought one yesterday. I am taking everything off my black vert and putting it on the LL vert. Kevin, if I go the LL route would you rather do the stock covers or redo the gold flake? Then again I might put the gold ones on the LL vert. Why did I do this? I am in debt up to my eyeballs. Somebody help me.

I'm going by the Ford place here in town tomorrow and picking up some LL touch-up paint. Going to use that to send a sample to my supplier. They just don't think they can do a good match without it. So, I'll be FedEx'ing that Saturday sometime and should know something by middle of next week I'm hoping.
Sandy - You are insane! But....LOL...since you did go ahead and buy another one....LOL!! I'd really rather do the stock covers if I had the choice. That's only because not knowing what the LL powder will be like yet, I don't know what base will be good for it. If I shot over the Gold it would more than likely change the color completely. So I'm thinking over the stock raw finish will keep it closer to the correct color. But, if the LL needs a light base, and it's easier for you to do the Gold ones, then I can just shoot a chrome coat on it first.
Also...when I go by the Ford dealer tomorrow I will ask about the stickers on the covers. If you notice though, on the side of the covers is an engraved or stamped number. I'm thinking if it ever came to a point when the car was collectable...and someone wanted an all original Mustang...as long as those numbers were still there and they matched whatever they are supposed to all is good.....but, going to ask tomorrow since I'll be there.

Thank you Kevin. I was curious because I haven't seen any other threads about a sticker and nobody mentioned a sticker on this thread either. I still have it and will keep it with my documentation.
The main thing I was concerned was the "REP" on the sticker does it indicated repaired or replaced at the plant.

Okay, I learned three things this morning. (1) It's actually called "Lime Gold" (2) It's not in stock and it's not cheap plus it takes 7 days to get it and (3) The parts dept really doesn't know what that sticker is.
But anyway...looks like I should have my LL touch-up this time next week. I'll update you guys that are wanting it as I find out something new.

Steve, REP stands for Romeo Engine Plant, where your engine was assembled. You are right to hang on to the Sticker or at least the information printed on it. If your Ford Dealer would ever have the need to replace the entire engine assembly, the information is needed to ensure you get the correct one. There are often several changes throughout a given model year and this sticker can be very useful. I know this from experience, because I owned a 2001 Mustang Bullitt that had really bad Piston Slap. Ford was going to replace the entire engine with another fresh from the assembly line. One day the Service Manager phoned me and asked me to locate that sticker and give him some information. As it turned out, Ford was nolonger assembling an equivalent engine assembly. I refused to accept a remanufactured engine, so I continued with the Lemon Law procedure and Ford ended up buying the Bullitt back.

Engine build identification and the Romeo plant id for REP sounds very logical.
Thanks for the feedback I was mostly wondering if it meant replaced or repaired because nobody else mentioned one. I have also had performance issues with the engine I've documented awile ago on other threads.
With that said I'm really looking forward for these covers and TBS because I have the matching plenulum cover and the Steeda strut tower brace to install when I swap.
