If we get enough people together to do it, I could buy a set of new cam covers (around $400 according to my local stealership), and have them as the first core, so your car's down time would only be a few hours to swap out the covers, then send in your stockers to get powerder coated for the next guy. Since everybody has cam covers less than a year old, they should all be in good shape.

But we'd probably need to get atleast 10 people for this, so the core fee would be about 40 bucks apiece. I figure it'll take a week to do each set, counting shipping, process, and delays (ie someone not shipping back their ugly stockers the next day), it would take me about 3 months for me to make my money back from the initial investment.

So figure:

$65 powder coat
$34 core fee (non refundable)
shipping and insurance, less than 20 bucks?

So for $99 bucks plus shipping, you could get your cam covers powder coated. Sure, I'll be making some money off of each set, but it's going to take 3 months just to get my inital investment back from buying the first set. And considering if someone decides not to send in their cam covers back, or someone sends in a bent/damaged set, and many trips to the post office and over to the powdercoater's place, it's probably going to be more of a pain than anything else.

But if enough people want to do this, we could make it happen.

Also, he has many colors available. I don't think he can do and exact match for all stock colors, like Mineral Grey or Redfire, but he could do Grey and Maroon.
He can also do wrinkle coat, anodized, candy, mirror, and metallic colors. Like I said, no guaranteed exact match.
