Edited, answered 2 of my own questions, removed them

Pulling mine off now, got the drivers side off.
question before i go breaking stuff, lol

1) did you use a razor blade to scrape off the 2 spots of rubber goo left from the gasket near the front?

Thanks, off to take the passenger side off, hopefully someone can help me out by the time I get back.

Covers at the shop now, still need an answer to what you used to clean the goop spots

 

Sorry I couldn't have been more help, was out of two for a week. I usually just use a razor blade to scrape off what I don't need, and that gasket with the goop stuck down in the hole to hold it in place, I just cut it with a razer blade flush with the mounting surface. Sealed up fine with the cover back on there.

I just got mine back from my cousins shop. Wasn't the best job in the world. Had some bubbling by where the coils are on the covers, anyone else had that?

Overall its not bad. And especially for free I cant complain. He ended up yelling at the guy that does his coating and he didn't charge him for the job.

 

Good news, we officially have TWO sets of cam covers for the exchange now.

If I hear back from mrvandermey, we may be getting two sets of Super Mirror Red covers coated. I haven't heard back from Krazed, but I'll leave him at the top of the list unitl I do.
