Okay..it's 1400 and I haven't been to sleep yet! The intake took way longer than I expected...needed tons of prep. It had such a rough cast finish the candy didn't look right. So I smoothed the whole thing out. Looks pretty now! LOL!!

Here is a picture of the intake....valve covers are in the oven outgassing right now. I'm going to try and finish these today....but I'm going to have to sleep soon. I have to work again tonight at 2000.

Is it possible to powder coat after market headers? I'm thinking of getting headers and was wondering if the matched the covers it would look real cool.

 

can you do a super mirror black on the K&N intake tube? It's a rough plastic.

 

Well.... to answer your question derynf, you can Powder Coat the exhaust system but you may want to know whats going to happen once the pipes heat up.

The coatings can withstand like 300-something degrees or so I thought.

My headers reach temperatures of 1300 degrees.

You will have a mess and a very strange smell underhood.

I dont suggest it. :P
