Sorry if I am being lazy by not reading through the whole thread....but what's the time from when I send you my stock valve covers to I receive the PC'd ones back? My car is my daily driver (to get to work and school...so I would like to plan ahead).

Hey guys and gals, you know what would be fun? If we all could meet at NPD's big Mustang gathering at Silver Springs Jan 7-8, 2006. I have already sent in my registration form (haven't heard back yet ). Seeing all these very cool covers in the colors would impress some folks, (mainly me). Give it a thought. We all need a break from hurricane worries anyhow.

SurfnSoCal,

Hatchman can give you a better idea as far as the total cost involved, but what he did was make a list of everybody that wants in on the Round Robin. When you come up on the list. he has the covers powder coated the way you want using the covers that were returned to him by the person ahead of you. When you receive the covers, you replace yours with the PC'd ones you ordered and ship your covers back to be PC'd for the next on the list. We all chipped in to cover Hatchman's $400.00 for the extra set of covers so we would have very little down time. For me, I figured the shipping time and made an appointment with my dealer to have them install the covers for me since I didn't have time to do it myself. I had my covers back in the mail within 24 hrs. It works great.
Your longest wait, I suspect, would be your home state distance from Florida. Most of us so far are in Florida, I believe so the USPS has been two days at most for travel time.

Yup, it is on a core basis. Hatchman sends the powder coated ones to you, you swap them out and send your stockers back.

Bill don't feel bad. I volunteered to be the guinea pig for this one, and it coulda went either way. I try to do different things than Hatch so that our cars don't mirror each other.
Don't get me wrong, it looks good. Just ( for me ) it makes the engine kind of disappear.

I'm signed up too. See you there!

If you want to meet earlier, my club is having a show in Tampa on Saturday, October 29 at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI). It is known as the 24th Annual Mustang, Shelby & Ford Roundup - ALL Ford-powered vehicles are invited. We're expecting more than 200 cars. In addition to all the usual show stuff, two free tickets to the Museum are included. I'll be posting details in the main forum shortly including a printable registration form.

I can see you should build a BIG trophy case for the Best of Show stuff you will win. They look Grrrrreat.
Thanks everybody for the replies. I think they look pretty good as well.

SurfnSoCal, let me know if you want on the list. Hopefully, we'll move through it pretty quickly. If you're going for the blacked out look, I would go with black, or Reflective Chrome if you want to go with some contrast .

Hopefully picking up Hawgman's set and mailing tomorrow.

Also, there is a small gathering of Mustangs in Tallahassee on Oct 15th, that we are going to.

The Silver Springs gathering is the one in Marion County at the Silver Springs attraction. It is an annual event that is huge for mustang people. It is sponsored in part by National Parts Depot and Silver Springs. The first 1,00 cars to register get into the attraction for free, with two complimentary tickets.

Silver Springs is one of Florida's oldest attractions and happens to be the location of several TV series, e.g. Sea Hunt, and I believe, The Creature From the Black Lagoon. It is a family attraction.

So do a search for National Parts Depot and click on their registration for Silver Springs ASAP.
