i liked the interior in my 2010 but i thought it was far from perfect, the door panels were cheap hard plastic (where alot of us rest an arm while cruising) + non adjustable steering column. I thought the fit and finish was good but not great, definitely not excellent. they could have done a better job at placing some of the climate controls, one big pet peeve was the power point right smack in the middle of the dash i didn't want to plug anything in there becuase it looked foolish with the wire hanging down in front of the nav screen. all i am saying is that there is room for improvement. especially on a ground up redesign.
in addition to adding many of the tech options that others listed above i am hoping the addition of IRS will fix the wheel gap in the rear as they will be able to hopefully be a bit more precise with the suspension and with 18s/19s it will have more of the audi/BMW gap. it seems like on the current car fixing the front would be easy but they have to balance it with the huge gap in the rear.

The power point in the center arm rest would be for your phone and such.

Good luck, you could hire a bunch of people and pay them half the minimum wage, offer no benefits and work'em till they drop dead in this country assembling the MT82 and still probably wouldn't be as cheap as they can do it in China.
Even if you could come close, the chinese government would no doubt step in and subsidize the operation as well as devalue thier currency some more to help keep the work there.
China is in the unfortunate situation of having to maintain growth at breakneck speed. If for some reason thier economic growth were to sputter like it has here in the states, China would be facing a really nasty meltdown.

I found it to be rather surpising why Ford put a two piece driveshaft in the Mustang GT. To me, the Mustang wheel base was short enough that a one piece shaft should not suffer from wobble at the speed the GT was limited to. Unless Ford was looking at the future of the Mustang and was preparing for a Mustang capable of sustained high speed operation. However, I cant envision there would be many times a person would drive at sustained high speeds. In the past , cars such as the Galaxies had long one piece drivshafts in cars that ran at legal speed on the interstates.

That's kinda west coast customs thing. their customers are usually looking for something pretty outlandish to put on display at CES or other car/electronics/sports shows.

I'd like Ford to take the next generation Mustang a notch below a 3 series and A5. I'm very comfortable with Ford taking the Mustang away from the retro look and towards a more progressive look. If we want the Mustang to survive in the future it has to be able to appeal to new markets and a new generation of buyers. I want a Mustang thats has more room in the rear seating area , has a slimmer look but still retaining a muscular stance.

As I asked for for the 2010 re-fresh, I want solar glass and heat-resistant leather seat material to end the burned-bum syndrome. Also, a one-touch up and down switch for the rear windows in the convertible (I added these from webelectricsproducts.com in 06 - why hasn't the factory caught up, like they did with the webelectric taillight sequentials I added).
And pop-up roll-over protection, like most other convertibles have today. I've watched roll-overs on slippery roads here in Canada - one reason I store mine in winter.
