I have a question, in the event that the car gets a more accurate ETA, would you be able to tell me when it is shipped to the dealer so I can get my loan check on the way to the dealer. EDITS says it was built on 5/3/13. Thanks

hi deysha i ordered my gt 500 on 3/5 i still have no vin #, or a build date i sent you a pm, you did send me me a pm last month saying ford did receive my order, so at least i know ford has got to be thinking about building me a car, thanks for checking

and rebates went up so i got $2000 off instead of $1500.
Hmmm, that's interesting- I just went on the ford.com site and looked up rebates, but they still show $1,500. I'll have to swing by the dealer and see if the $2,000 applies here as well.

I've had a roller coaster couple of days here, but now I'm doing a happy dance :-). I order my Mustang on 3/15 and nothing's happened since. I've been talking to the dealer here every week and have gotten nothing. Yesterday my husband initiated the weekly check, and they finally admitted that my order is on hold "indefinitely" because they are a low priority dealership. They basically said that they didn't have a clue when my order would be processed, might be June or .... sometime.
So today, I decided to give up on supporting the local business and see what I could find from bigger dealers. I struck out closer to home, but I hit gold with a dealer about an hour and a half away. They found a Mustang with all the options I ordered plus a couple extra for a little less money than I was going to pay just waiting for me. This one is black instead of sterling gray, but I can definitely live with that. I'll be taking delivery within the week!

I just received a call from my dealership saying that my 2014 Race Red GT Track Pack has arrived. I'll be picking her up in a couple of hours. I'll also have them check on the $2000 rebate. I could use an extra $500 off. I'll be getting my $500 special order deposit back too. This is a great day in the neighborhood.

That's great! Congratulations- and don't forget to visit the rest of us one more time to post pics! Hope the $2000 works out ($500 would just about pay for the Roush axleback exhaust kit... just sayin').

The blend date is the date it's released to be shipped, it has already been built at this point and is outside waiting transport, and the wait begins.
The date on the bottom is the build date, when it starts to roll down the line.
There could still be a delay in starting the build but not likely as all the parts needed have been rounded together.

Thanks Scott... That was my understanding as well (that the blend date was the projected build date). However, if my dealer was correct on Friday in stating that my car has already been built, somehow the factory must have built my car at least 10 days ahead of the blend date. Either they just got way ahead of schedule, or the dealer was pulling my leg (hopefully the former 
).

I quickly searched the $2000 claim and only found that it applies to the 2013. That may or may not be true today for the 2014. Just passing on what I found in a quick search.
Is Roush loud enough for old folks like us?

Hmmm, so they started the build of my car on 29 April (which makes sense- because it was already built by 3 May)- BUT, its not scheduled to actually ship until 13 May. More than a little bit frustrating to think it could spend up to 10 days just sitting in the lot- for the $795 delivery charge, they surely could have plopped it on a truck with a couple other cars bound for the DFW area! Even more acceptable would be to simply let me pay my freakin' dealer, fly up to Flat Rock, and drive the car home!
I know there are others who wait months for their new rides, so everything in perspective, but still...

To clear up all the window sticker questions etc
This is fairly accurate, a few small errors, but overall generally correct. It's from a couple yrs back, but applies to the current version of the window sticker as well.

Well Deysha tagged me a quote yesterday on here that said it should ship soon lol...so thats why i stated that, but in a private message she told me last week it was suppose to be 5/9....guess we shall see tomorrow lol

She told me mine would ship early this week. So does that mean mines shipped before yours? Haha keeping track is getting confusing. Guess we will see tomorrow.

Very confusing lol...I'm going by her private PM stating it showed her a dealer eta of 5-9....Of course when i stopped by my dealership yesterday to make sure my 750 coupon was good he stated 5-13 which is Monday...I'm crossing my fingers and praying Deysha is 100% right! lol
