I was too happy that the car arrived today to be pissed about 52 factory-driven miles. The salesman said it had 65 miles on it upon transport offload. The dealer tech put another 12 or so on during the PDI. I finally drove it 33 miles home and it already has 110 miles on it. I'll keep the sticker for coverage purposes. I may need it at the end of the 6/60 bumper-to-bumper extended warranty.

That is just odd... On second thought, I'd happily allow them to road test the car for 1,000 miles if they could get someone at the factory to just drive the car down to Dallas for me!
There's a 2012 Shelby nearby with 3k on the odometer for $42k that is beginning to look mighty tempting... (Dangit, I really want that glass roof though). Also, there are a couple $46k MSRP GT convertibles on dealer lots for $39k locally as well.
Come on Deysha- send me a PM telling me my car is on its way!
Sigh- rant over. Okay MHoss- was the wait worth it? Help me through this tough time by telling me how awesome it was to drive your car...
PS- Did they give you the $2000 incentive, or the $1500?

Yes, the wait was very well worth it. I smoked 'em in the dealership's driveway and ran through the gears quickly, getting to the interstate. She is stiffer in the hind quarters than my '07, but the steering (standard mode) is rock solid. Overall, the '14 feels like a real thoroughbred. The 3.73's are right on the money for street and highway driving too. I rolled along at 2,500 rpm and was clocking 80+ most of the way home. At one point, I dropped it in 5th at around 70 and was amazed at the acceleration through 120mph. This 5.0 is way better than the 4.6. In the short time I've owned her, I am convinced the factory shifter will be finding a new home. It sucks and so does the phony ****! 1st thru 4th seems to be fair, but from 4th to 5th is too stiff and requires a bit of hunting at times. Therefore the MGW, with 2-post bracket, will be obtained before long. The clutch seems ricer weak to me, but I've been used to old school clutches that require some leg force. I may try removing the clutch assist spring to stiffen it up a little and see if that feels better. The "tape worm" baffle foam is history. She sounds better in the cabin or as I like to call it, the "cockpit". Varilux, all in all, I'm extremely pleased with my new pony. She will be in my corral for years to come. Several times this evening, I found myself just standing back and smiling at her beauty.

I tried floating the $2,000 rebate by the finance guy, instead of the $1,500. He wouldn't bite and said it was for the 2013, not the 2014. So I took the $1,500. I also tried sticking him with the $500 Military Appreciation Rebate and was told it exclusively appllies to active duty folks, not old retired pogues like me. So, I hauled in a big fat $0. I DID get a decent interest rate through a local bank and my payments are reduced enough allowing me to spring for the 6/60 bumper-to-bumper extended warranty. By opting out of roadside assistance, towing and rental reimbursement through GEICO, the Ford coverage was much cheaper in the long run.

In the DFW area, you have a few dealers who are firm on the MSRP for the '13 Boss and a few that have started to take $1-3k off (guessing they've been paying interest on those cars for a while now- comes in handy to know how to read the date on the sticker).
No one is still charging a premium above sticker price (they certainly do on the new Shelbys, though).
Within 30 minutes, there are four new '13 Boss 302s (2x red, 1x green, and 1x white). None of them have navigation (and I'm pretty sure you couldn't order the glass roof with the Boss)... If I go 200 miles, there is a schoolbus yellow Boss at sticker (THAT'S the color I really like on the Boss).
Or, Ford could save me a lot of drooling and second-guessing if they would just.ship.the.car.they.built.a.week.ago!
