87 was the last year of speed density. 88 MAF came out. That's when we started making them really fast. The camaros and vettes couldn't touch them. But the 4 cylinder cars were saved for body donors. Just letting you know what happened in 87.

Yes you were also a junior in high school. It was the third year of the four best years of your life

btw, a little tidbit I haven't seen posted here when the old 5.0 is discussed... the reason the Mustang's pushrod V8 was rounded up to 5.0 is because 4.9L was already assigned to the 300 cu in I6 when they converted to liters.
So it wasn't so much that Ford fudged the 5.0, it was to avoid confusion between engines.

Nah, staying up for three days straight in the freezing cold and sleeping on the ground with a rifle as a pillow sucks. Praying to God that if you get attacked in the middle of the night while you're sleeping in the middle of the desert that you take one in the head so its over quick; that sucks. High school was a cake walk.

GM will not let the flagship be beat for long. I'm surprised how well they let the Camaro perform recently. The ZL1 and Z28 has to be knocking on the door of the base Vette in performance. Maybe they just don't care about that anymore. That new Vette is just beautiful.
