Bullitt coming in '08!!
They have so much hertiage to pull from.
Its nice that within a span of 7 years they've finally made 'their own' SE rather than just pulling a name from the past.
I've always wanted a bullitt... but I think the coming onslaught of stangs and redesigns will keep me away from this one.

I know alot of people have a bad taste for Eleanor, but i have always liked the original version as well as several S197 interpretations!!!
I don't know what they could really do different, realistically. Maybe some suspension upgrades and brakes like the last one with only a minor increase in hp. What was the last ones, +5hp? Don't forget about the Shelby GT coming out with only +25hp? Does anyone really think they'll give the Bullit more power and torque, ie. better performance than a *Shelby*. This is just food for thought. I hope the car far exceeds expectations.
HOWDY FOLKS ... :~))
I just joined early this morning. I will be writing something soon as an "intro" to this website. Being of considerable age now, I think what I write will give you all something to ponder as we review the past, current, and future offerings from the Great American Blue Oval.
I surely hope somebody significant from FORD reads it ... (???)
If Yall find it somewhat lengthy I certainly apologize but since FORD is thought to read these threads from time to time it just might be something worth my (or, "OUR") while to do.
Anyway ... I'm glad to be here and I'm sure I will enjoy everyone's company ~ !!!
Take Care :~))

The car should have the upgraded brakes, nicer suspension, maybe a cool hood. But i am not a fan of making the car completely different.
OF COURSE they should all be manual. If the auto was actually faster shifting without a comp reflash... then it would be a faster car, which it isnt. And besides both movie cars and all of the old se bullitt are manual. The big things are. Put 3.73's in it, increase power a bit. Throw the hurst shifter in it with a less flashy interior, no mycolor. make the gauges look green all the time. Nicer brakes. read: swap them into my 07 gt. spoiler delete. The hips arent going to happen, and neither is a ducktail (one thats actually part of the sheetmetal of the body i mean), as long as its the current body, it'll take too much work to put those types of features in the car, especially for a special edition. I wouldnt be surprised if it ends up being a v6 type exterior DHG with dual exhaust, and only like 320-330hp. i think upgrading the gears is pretty important. and the hurst shifter would be the ticket.
Most importantly.. they should ALL be green none of the blue and black junk from the first one.
