Thanks for that link BC, read the article. I'm liking the direction Ford seems to be heading with this car, and it better be a Bullitt. Can "Bold Moves" include reining in the price gouging that seem inevitable? I'd rather buy a Ford than go "bye Ford" in '08.

Any guesses as to #'s to be produced? Since this will be a MY08.5 or MY08, will they continue to offer into MY09? Or is that redesign time?

My guess is 5 - 6K as before. Then the long awaited top dog '09 Boss would be introduced as the grand finale before the redesign and big bucks.

 

Just checked the SEMA web site. Ford is the ONLY American car manufacturer that has scheduled a press conference during SEMA.....10 AM Oct 31st.

 

I still think that they won't show the car until the NY Auto Show in April (but I sure hope I'm wrong). Showing it at SEMA, and not having it available for over a year isn't the hottest idea. You don't want to excite someone with a car that won't be obtainable for over a year. I say NY, just because its a big venue, its after Detroit, and they unveiled the Hertz there. Just a thought.

 

Color options will be different than the '01's. DHG and...???

Plus, if they do like they did with the first Bullitts, they may not advertise the car other than the stuff we talk about here on the Net so it just gives them that much more time to get the buzz out for the car without having to spend any money.

Let's hope they're putting that money into the actual car, and that we're not waiting another 12 months for a green Mustang with 10 extra horsepower and badge & sticker job.

If it has significant hp increase I would say well north of 30K. Ford is looking for a niche car between the GT and GT500. 35K would split the difference.
