I just need to find that quote from the TMS member that said there "never" be another Bullitt.

wow... you guys are ready to lynch the poor guy
I personally think the S197 bodystyle was made for a bullitt edition. I personally hope they stay to the spirit of the '01 model, with better brakes, handling, clean styling (no fogs, spoiler). I really hope they do a better job of upping the HP. The FRPP suspension and Power packs are good starting points. Hopefully, they can get more power than that out of it.

Yeah, saw that too on Autoblog. Woohoo!
Of course, now what's it gonna be like?
A vacuous trim and tape job like the GT/CS just to get it out the door quick and on the cheap?
Or something with some real meat and content like the Shelby GT that's more befitting of the Bullitt nomenclature?
My ideal: stripped down styling, in Highland green of course, with blacked out Bullitt wheels (this ought to be the ONLY Stang to use these waaaaay overused wheels IMO). Motor: 3V 5.4, in character with the big block 390 of the original. In lieu of that, the Shelby GT motor. Chassis: upgraded brakes, suspension tuning somewhere between a stock GT and the Shelby GT.

I'll have to do another test drive on another Brink's truck.
