Now this is impressive. I am going to have to sell my soul to buy one, but i will get one of these.
Question though, this bullitt will be made on the current body style, exactly like what the GT's, Shelby's and so on look like, or will it have more 1968 type things to it, like the intakes on the hood, "hips" and window louvers? Maybe someone knows, maybe not. I am impressed by this for sure though.

Are you going to be a bum about it or are we going to see what it looks like?

+1 BROTHA. I have always wanted a bullit. I have to explain this one to the wife....
Just a WAG, but I think the 08 Bullitt will have 310-325hp. Maybe they will just use the FRPP setup on the Shelby GT and get 325HP. Emphasis will be on the looks.
They really need to do a 67/68 style hood like burningman's above. This same style should have been used on the new GT/CS (original GT/CS was a 68).

IMO it's kind of selfish for people to want the Bullitt in a manual-only transmission option.
The automatic is faster in terms of gear-shifts, it will allow people to enjoy the car more than changing gears constantly (especially daily drivers) and speaking of money, it'll allow every single Ford Mustang buyer another option, particularly those who don't care to learn manual. Also, consider that you can't really even let a family member or friend drive it unless they know stick.
Aside from the automatic request, it better look hot.

Im more dissapointed then happy. I feel the bullitt should be only a 1 year car. Since its based off of a freakin movie.
God forbid Ford make an Eleanor.

Well while you all dream of winning lotteries, I have a better plan.
I'll keep my 05 GT, I love it and always will, and when its paid off, 09 , 10 , while I'm used to making car payments, I'll buy whatever SE model suits my fancy. I dont see any extra money for a second car coming in , but I can easily continue to make payments on a second one, after this ones paid for.
In the mean time I'll mod my 05 and begin the slow process of helping my wife realize I will be owning more than one Mustang. I figuure I'll have several SE models to choose from by then, I can get a new updated body style, or maybe find an 08,09 still new on the losts, maybe a Bullit, maybe a Mach 1, maybe a Shelby GT, I'll have plentey to choose from by then I'm sure.
So why wait to buy a Mustang later, buy one now AND again later after the firts ones paid off.
See unlike most of you all, I'm over 50, looking at maybe 10 years max before I retire. So I'll be set to buy a second Mustang and have it paid off before I retire. And I can use that excuse to buy my second Mustang , it will be my Retirement gift to myself!!! My wife cant refuse that logic. What could be a better retirement gift than a 09 SHelby GT 500, or maybe a Bullit, or a new Mach 1 , or a Shelby GT, or who knows what......
One last thing, I know many of you all love DHG , I do too , but I dont believe Ford can market an SE Mustang with only one color, give it a few color options, DHG, that deep blue, black, silver, ..........

I just hope they try to make this as much like the '68 model as possible since this is paying homage to a film of the 1960's. No huge wheels, 60's muscle cars had emphasis on tire, not wheel. Standard ford 17" black bullitt wheels will be just fine, standard mustang height, no "pimp my ride" lowering kit, just stock. And of course the usual bullitt options. Image attached below to demonstrate.
