Bullitt coming in '08!!
No doubt the worst thing about this car will be the dealer mark-ups.
I think they should make the car a basic copy of the current GT, but stripped down as much as possible. No fogs, no front spoiler, no rear spoiler, no stick on scoops or vents, etc. Have a hood scoop, but in the form of a different hood from the current model. Give it about 350 horse (save the big power for the Boss), 5 or 6 speed manual ONLY, (no auto), and special black interior (not dark graphite).
Oh, and serialize them with building less than 10,000. Making less will only drive the markup higher.

I will not doubt this will be like the previous bullitt.
- DHG
- Bullitt styling (clean..no spoiler... 18s.. maybe unique finish... different front etc)
- lowered (probably FRPP handling kit) etc
- Bullitt sound (FRPP mufflers)
I wouldn't expect this to be a mach1 type SE... the other bullitt wasn't either....

the steve mcqueen autographed back rests i dont think would be a good idea....its not a shelby so we dont need a name on it. keep it a bullitt. just a bullitt...they made a good choice by making the regular gt interior look good, im sure they wont mess this up
No fogs, no front spoiler, no rear spoiler, no stick on scoops or vents, etc.
I wonder if there will be much of a power increase over the current GT. 2001 bullitt had 5 more HP than the 2001 GT (260 vs 265)
Sweet
I hope they make a Boss for this model too. In anycase I am looking forward to seeing that this Bullitt looks like. I have question that somebody in my office asked me and I didn't have the answer right off the bat. Did they offer the 2001 Bullitt model in an automatic?
Its about time, but figures I just bought an 06' Oh well.

Last time I made mention of the '01 Bullit not living up to expectations you got your panties in a royal bunch....what gives?
Althought the DHG would be a great option, I hope they also offer the dark blue (I think it was called "True Blue") and black like they did for the '01 Bullitt. That will make the decision making that much more agonizing.
Hrm... thinkin about how the body parts...
I could see maybe (if the GT/CS is a one year thing, not like a pony package) that they would utilize the GT/CS front bumper...and rear bumper as well minus the spoiler.... new grille... and 18" bullitts with a different paint or finish on them. and a BULLITT faux gas cap rather than slapping the bullitt badge on the back..make it nice and clean/symetric
I think that would look REALLY sweet!

Hmm, maybe it's a good thing that my purchase of an '07 got delayed. Being one of the "new generation" of car fans, I'm not big on companies rehashing old model names to generate interest, but even I can't deny this sounds very, very promising. I'm going to need to follow the news on this one...

YES!!! lol.if this SE is like the '01, slightly more hp (ive heard from many places that the 5hp gains was underrated... can anyone substantiate this?) better handling, sleek and clean looks, and DHG it will officially be my favorite SE.
i havent yet found an SE that i really really like. if it keeps the theme of the old, im pretty sure this will be it
