No..but since you are the "King of the good deals" Find me a GT500 rear spoiler (painted). Tom got his for like $220 he said but I can't even come close to that price yet. I can find them for around that price but they are knock-offs and not the Ford part.

Aftermarket would be fine if it is of good quality. I found out this morning that Tom's is not the Ford part and he is very happy with the quality of his. His came from a place called Sportwing on Ebay.

Mornin' Just another lovely day in the auto tire/repair industry for me.

dly 6/28/08 02:39 PM

Just got back from a little car show in the next town over. About 50 cars/trucks/ and other things. They just let people vote for the top 3 cars and gave out the top 20 car awards. I think I got around 7th or 8th place. Show was full of 2 different Chevy Camero and vette clubs. The winning car was a 46 Merc Sun Valley Yellow, hell it was on my top 3 right after my car. Pictures later I got to dry things out. 5 minutes after I got there it rained for 45 minutes on and off.

Man I want a smoker. I almost bought one like a month ago. Instead, I bought some wood chips and a little smoker box for my grille. Didn't work out so well! The chips were just a burnt crisp by the time my pork shoulder was nice and tender. :(

My car leaned out slightly after putting these on, Brent adjusted my tune for them and then at one of his Dyno Days we found it was still lean.

Looks like mine might be a bit lean too.. Just got a CEL on my way into work (after 300ish miles).. Will check the code and do some datalogging tonight.

Go to any good Rib Restaurant that serves Tips and Ribs and they will tell you they sell 5 times the tips as ribs. Tips are the non bone tender end of the rack of ribs. You get way more meat with tips as you do with ribs. Man o man do they taste good. Come and get them!!!!!! Going to Boonie Boon's for some Ice cream and a cruise night.

Did you use O2 extensions? The tune needs tobe adjusted for longer wires. Brent changed mine. Did you get your exhaust from Brent? I think he still makes free updates on his tunes for parts purchased from him.

I used an extension on the passenger side upper o2.... none of the others needed to be extended.

Nick,
I get the same code on mine, started after the LT install.
Brent dialed in some delay on the circuit. He also told me they might not be able to dial it out without having other issues.
The other option was to turn off the check engine light, which I didn't want. I just clear the code & continue on. Hasn't been enough of a issue for me to do anything with so far. I'll get one every 2-4wks.
As soon as I get time, I was going to check & see if he'd be able to dial in any more delay than what I already have without problems, if not, I'll live with it. Wonder why Scott doesn't get the same:dunno:

I had mine custom tuned after the LT install, but I mainly did it to verify the email tune, A/F, etc.
Brent was only able to tweak 2HP & 2TQ over his email tune, so it was about dead on.
Let me know if/how you get anything done for yours.

Hi Larry....:wave: I can't figure out why I have never got that "slow to warm" code that you have gotten several times. Maybe it is my automatic transmission.....:poke::jester:. But I have had a "small leak code" in my evaporative system more than one time!!!:dunno: Beats me!!
Scott

frdtch05gt 6/30/08 09:54 PM

Scott, what was the number of that evap code? There is a TSB for code P0456. TSB number 07-3-9.

Yes, I believe that was the code I received. As I remember there are two possible codes. One was for a small leak and one was for a large leak. Mine was for the small leak. I will check out the TSB to see what it says. Thanks Justin. :nice:
Scott

Edit: Hey Justin..do you have a link to that TSB number 07-3-09. I can find that it is related to the check engine light I am getting but not having any luck finding what Ford thinks is causing the problem. Can't find the entire TSB. Seems Galaxie stop post them short of this date. Same on SN197.

Hey Guys I need some opinions on something I am considering being my next mod. I have done about all of the performance things I can and still stay N/A so I am turning my attention toward some exterior mods. But I am considering mixing components from different themes. I think it will look good together but I guess I want some honest opinions. I have a painted GT500 rear spoiler on the way.

http://j.b5z.net/i/u/2155674/i/HPIM0452_ezr2.jpg

And am considering adding the Roush front facia and chin spoiler also.

So my question is do you think this will look alright? Since I would not be going with the total Roush package or the GT500 theme. I really fell in love with the Roush facia at the Dublin MCA meet. Please be honest. You won't hurt my feelings.

I think it would look fine - surely someone out there has that combination so you can see what it would look like...

Oh, a 350Z shadowed me and tried to pass. Tried...

I like the Roush fascia. You can get it painted and delivered for less than $1k from www.stage3motorsports.com the chin spoiler is an additional $268 painted/delivered.

Glenn 7/2/08 10:28 AM

got my roush front bumper for 636.00 shipped through an ebay seller. 900 painted is not a bad deal imo

I would get them painted because that price is not bad considering. Roush accually paints them. I read an article about how they are made up in Michgan in his state of the art plant. I can't really find any good deals on the Roush stuff. Seems to be the same price everywhere I looked.

Glenn...did you get the additional chin spoiler? All the pictures seem to show the facia with the additional chin spoiler.

I've always liked the Roush facia WITHOUT the chin spoiler look...

Glenn 7/2/08 05:14 PM

no chin spoiler here. I had mine painted localy and was not real happy. Thats why I said 900 painted is not bad at all

Great pictures Glenn.:metal: So it seems most of the pictures on the web of the Roush front facia seem to show the added spoiler. Not sure what I am going to do yet.:dunno: Where did you hook up the additional fog lights. Into the stock ones??:dunno: Also I just noticed where you put your front license plate. Very ingenious. Wonder if I can get away with that here is Ohio. I don't want to put screw holes in the new facia. :-(

Scott,
I'd have to agree with the rear spoiler & Roush front facia, but no chin spoiler. I think the front facia looked good as is.

Suspension???

Been looking @ GT-500's myself lately. Found 2 @ MSRP.
Had been seriously thinking about going that route here, but wife has had a bunch of medical/health issues develop in past month & will be finished working this coming Monday. Eye surgery on Tues.:bad:
I'll just have to be content with my GT:)

Hi Larry,
The only suspension mod I will consider will be a good set of shocks some day. Hope you can pull off the GT500 someday soon. I imagine these gas prices have hurt the 10-15 K markup the dealers where asking. Wish your wife the best.:nice:

tom281 7/3/08 05:46 AM

+1 Larry, all the best to your wife. :nice:

yep hooked them right into the stock fogs. I didn't want to deal with the wiring harness that came with the roush. We are supose to have them mounted on the front also. It is verry visiable where it is. Knock on wood the cops haven't messed with me yet.
