Every time a Legend Limer goes by, I twist my neck trying to get a look...

Went to the State Fair last evening. Great weather.

All the mixed messages your nose gets as you walk around all the attractions at the fair. Corn dogs. Mmmm. Chicken poop. BBQ smoker. Tenderloins. Mmmm. Fat sweaty guy. Polish sausages. Mmmm. Cow poop. Funnel cakes and anything on a stick. Mmmm.

My boy seemed to enjoy pointing and giggling at the enormous hog testicles. I giggled too. Mom was not impressed.

Don't feel too bad Nick......

Last night I was out dickin' around in the garage and noticed that the driver's side headlight on my '92 fox vert (original owner, might I add) looked a little funny. I went over to check it out and noticed that the entire assembly was broken loose, and their was brown paint rubbed all down the bottom of the front fender and bumper fascia!

I am guessing that someone hit it at a Walmart or somewhere like that etc. and that we didn't notice when we got into the car to drive home. I was able to buff out most of the paint and rub marks, but there's one serious gash left in the front fascia. :shame: These were the original headlights, so I ordered some factory Ford repo's last night.

Ah - Walmart. My wife hates that place. But out of convenience, she will sometimes go there. I drop her off and then find a spot close to the enterance. Fun to watch the people going in and out. Nothing like a front row seat to a human freak show... (No offense to any Walmart regulars!):jester:

Ouch!! How you do that?

There was some jacka** waiting to turn south (left) onto 31 from Johnson and he was sitting too far back and too far to the right, and i wanted to turn north onto 31... didnt want to wait for the light to change so i tried to squeeze past him... and i got too close to the curb.

Aside from michigan, South Bend has the stupidest drivers i've ever seen.

frdtch05gt 8/16/08 04:07 PM

I had to avoid two potential accidents yesterday evening coming home from work in the Escort. I had some moron in an suv squeeze between me and the curb when turning right at an intersection where there are red light cameras. Then a little while later a mini-van almost changed lanes into me.

Stoenr 8/16/08 04:10 PM

I bet you are one of those guys that moves over to the right so you can be 1st at the light and blocking people from turning right

frdtch05gt 8/16/08 04:13 PM

Nope, I was sitting right in the middle of the right turn lane, a separate lane from the rest. There's red light cameras at North ave/Rt 59, but there isn't a no right turn on red sign. Those cameras will take your picture if you turn right on red. This jerk squeezed in and almost took my mirror off.

Just got back from a Car show in downtown Dowagic, Mi. Over 225 cars. During the show they announced that a couple who always comes to the shows in a blue Convair had been in a head on accident and the Husband is in serious condition but his wife was killed.

Not a big Walmart fan either, it's just that we don't hardly drive this car but only to do errands around town- post office, picking up stuff that we forgot at the grocery, etc. So I'm blaming it on someone at Walmart, LOL.....

Yup, we announce the opening of another CG line. We will probably hire almost 100 team members. You need to go to Work Force one and tell them you want to take the test for the I/N compaines. After that test you will be called to go to Burns Harbor for another test. The people we are hiring at the end of the month (20 people), testing in the early spring time. :metal::banana::confused:

So far I am OKAY. I go thru a small burg with 2 cops that is known for being a speed trap. I go by one of them at 3:20 every day and so far I'm good. :metal: But only time will tell. When I am coming at you my plate placement is easy to see. But from either side at about any angle you can't see it at all.

My neighbor told me a tacky Obama joke yesterday - :poke: ok, ok, here it is...

Obama arrives at the Pearly Gates and is greeted by St. Peter. As is standard with all new arrivals, St. Peter asks him to state his name and occupation, to which Obama proudly declares, "I am Barack Obama, and I am President of the United States."

St. Peter raises a brow and peers over the top of his log book. "Really? President? I must have fallen asleep - when did this happen?

Obama says, "Oh, about 10 minutes ago..."

Unfortunately, that is not too hard to imagine. But I don't think he'll win the election- there are too many people that won't vote for a black man. I heard last night that McCain is now ahead in the polls by like 5 points. :dunno:

Yep - Back, and to the left...

Watching TV the night of the election will be rather interesting.

How is the job going?

Did you tell the judge, Thankya, thankyaveramuch!

I talked to a prosecuter, and she (very nice young lady) asked me what happened...

The REAL Story:

My wife had just gotten some cavities filled at the dentist and half of her face was numb and non-functional, Everytime she smiled, it looked HILARIOUS!! So we were driving home and I was doing things to make her smile.....one of those things happed to be cutting inside of the third to last orange barrell while merging back to our correct lane while exiting a contrction zone. The cop was about a half mile ahead of me and must have saw me in his mirrior. Busted!

My Defense in Court.

First off....Police officer wasnt there. So I told her that I was switching lanes exiting a construction zone to let peope tailgaiting me pass by. The Officer must have just caught a glimpse of my lane movement and thought it was too fast. I did not opperate unsafely to my knowledge.

Hottie prosecuter: "did you cause and accident?"
Me: "No."
Hottie: "Did it cause anyone to have to swerve or avoid you"
Me: "No...I was trying to get out of their way"
Hottie: "Ok...I'm going to go ahead and dismiss this for you since it did not cause any trouble and you have no prior offenses"

Lesson Learned....No goofing off behind the wheel. I never do....but the first time I did I got nailed for it...so I guess it was a good experiance.

99.9% of the time, if the officer doesn't show, it will be dismissed anyway. Congrats though anyhow, you law-breaker.....

Man there must be something in the air around here. Coming out of work yesterday I ride down 2 small roads to get to the hi-way to get home. Both roads have tall corn on each side and are only about 1/2 mile long before I turn off them. as I'm coming up to one of the turns a County brownie comes around the turn flips on his lights and goes by me, does a u turn and comes up behind me. Now I'm just out of work and I never do anything crazy cuz the car itis not warmed up so I just cruisen. He ask for my paper work and says you were doing 51 in a 40. I'm stopped right at my turn and I'm thinkin no way maybe 42 tops as the road from stop sign to the turn isn't over a 1/4 mile. He gave me a warning for speed, told me my licese expires next year on my birthday and to slow it down. I'm thinkin he came around the corner saw my car and just figure I had to going fast. Also in the middle of the stop a local New Carlise cop shows up and I hear him ask "How fast did you clock him at", when he hear the answer he sais "Is that all?" and laugh. 1st time I've been stopped in 25 years. But no Ticket.:jester::hail::nice:
