Also!

Remember Lee,

When the Temperature is Hot the Horsepower is Down and the Traction is Up with More Control!

When it is Cold the Horsepower is Up and the Traction is Down with Less Control!

So Horsepower Feels Farther Down Than it Really is!

Double Punch!

My Gt-500 As Well Seems Way Down on Power in the California Heat! Should be 110: Today!

Hope everyone had a nice and safe 4th! We had some terrible storms come through the other day, but it made for a really vibrant rainbow. The pic just doesn't do the color justice!

Anybody else have Sheetz near them? We drove past on the 4th and the line was a mile long because they were offering $1.77/gal for regular. The line was CRAZY long!

Yep we had long lines too and I needed gas but I wasn't about to wait in the long lines. They were waiting for 45 minutes not me!

While I love Sheetz and Wawa, we have neither down here. What we DO have is Buc-ee's which blows both of them away...they are out of texas and they sell cheap gas to get you to come in because they know you're going to spend a bunch of money if you come insider the store!

I usually end up going to RoFo (Royal Farms for those of you that don't have it) since they are on the way to/from work. I try to avoid going in the store though because then I want to bring home fried chicken once I smell it cooking, lol. It is sooooo good!

OH, I forgot about RoFo!!! I've been gone 21 years now...there was a RoFo I went to down the street from me in Pasadena all the time.

We have Buc-ee's around me here, in fact although I have never been to one I will be going past the Largest Buc-ee's (74,000 Square Feet and 120 Pumps) in the morning in Sevierville TN.

They already finished that thing? Seems like no time since they announced it.

Yep, opened the 26th of June, apparently after 2 weeks of extra waiting.
When I used to travel a lot I would normally stop at Pilot since I have actually met Jimmy Haslam Sr. (Built Jimmy Haslam Jr's Swimming pool) and he is a very likeable person. When I was still driving over the road my boss had us using Flying J and the Haslems bought Flying J so I just continued using both. Now Berkshire Hathaway and Buffet own 80% so I think it continues to be a crap shoot

The one here in Leeds, AL is 53,250 sq ft also with 120 pumps. What I don't understand is why they didn't put in race fuel considering they are right outside of Barber Motorsports Park but they do have Ethanol free 93. Traffic is already bad in Seveirville without Buc-ee's, I saw they were working on it in April when I was there for PITS. I think the one here did 10 Million in sales the first month they were open...it's a hell of a business model!

I think it's only been open for a couple weeks...I don't remember when they anounced it though.

Fun fact...and I think it's only on the weekends now(at least here) but if you go in and request to see the Beaver they have an employee that has to put on the Beaver costume and come out and interact with the customers....lol.

I remember when I took a couple of guys in that work for me the first time it was like they just walked into the ***** Wonka Chocolate Factory....big eyes just staring around taking it all in...LOL!

I remember Stucky's...mostly for the taffy as a kid...LOL.

Buc-ee's serves fresh food..Brisket is one they are known for but you can see them out in the open prepping the food. Breakfast sandiwiches are good and they have Beaver Nuggets, fresh roasted nuts, fresh coffee, a wall of gummi bears, etc....They aslo have a wall of beef jerky as well as a deli type counter with fresh jerky, they also have other fresh food and stuff. They have clothing, smokers, coolers, fuel jugs....It's like a Giant Super Target with 120 gas pumps. And the bathrooms are spotless and massive.
