Bullitt coming in '08!!
You think that's bad. I sold an '06 car I bought new, and bought a used Cherokee, just so I wouldn't have any car payments, its even close to DHG in color.
Further, I'm debating trading in my motard for a bike Triumph now makes called the "Scrambler" which is a throwback to the bike McQueen rode in The Great Escape movie...
I'm even debating getting the 'JJZ109' for a personal tag, so I have it when the Bullitt comes to fruition.
My only knock back to reality will be if/when an ADM puts the MSRP out of my reach, and/or supplies are severely limited, thus causing an ADM to remain for longer than initial lauch period.

My guess is no, and here is why. Ford will reveal both the 2008 Fusion, and 2008 500 and Freestyle, and doesn't want another vehicle taking away the spotlight. I say they show it at the New York Auto Show in April, and here's my reason. They introduced the Hertz last year, and Ford always shows something new at this show. Plus, since the car won't be out until December 2007, showing it in April will only be several months from the start of the show, till dealers can start placing orders. Just my guess.
I was at SEMA in Nov and Ford did not use all the sapce they have for the past several years -- kinda depressing especially since the three domestics were featured -- first time in the history of SEMA all three were featured in the same show!.
There was a large blank area that it appears they gave back to the show last minute (SEMA used is for an inteview stage, but it looked like no one had a plan for that space) and Volvo filled (wtf? unprecedented, I believe and very strange -- SEMA is not your typical car show!).
I proposed on another forum, where some Ford 'insiders' hang, that posssibly they pulled the '09 Boss 'concept' and substituted the Galpin Boss 302 to not tip their hand given the LS2 Camaro coming in '09 (my conjecture). A response I got was that they never planned to show a Ford Boss 302 (as opposed to Galpin's) -- what they pulled was the Bullitt because they didn't want to take the spotlight away from the Shelby GT (which it logically would compete with) and the 40th anniversary upgrade goodies announced (and shown) at SEMA for the GT500.
They also did not have the extensive crate-motor display area (where the impromptu stage was) to not take attention away from the new Boss crates -- makes sense to me -- which were featured in the Galpin Boss302 and the JDRF Charity Car ... a slick fully-mondernized jewel of a '32 Ford -- 75th anniversary -- to be auctioned for Juvenile Diabetes.
Sorry for the roundabout explanation, but I think his insight was correct on the Bullit being pulled and my feeling is that they will likely hold it for the NYAIS as suggested above, though the 'insider' thought it might show in LA instead.

I don't think it will show in Detroit either, but I sure wish it would. I'd like to make a final yay or nay decision about this car before the polar ice cap melts (OK, I'll admit, that's not a funny analogy right now).
