MGW Shifter Feedback Thread!
read the instructions MMANNNNN!!!!!
just kidding
that is a presure spring that goes inside the linakge bracket. look at the threaded part of the bracket and you will see a hole in the end. slide the spring inside this hole before installing it into the shifter center shaft.
it keeps the linkage bracket from rattling when in use.,

So I'm thinking for some reason I've been left off Georges list of customers or all the shipping notices were not emailed out yesterday as I still have not gotten any email with shipping info...........................
Maybe a package will just arrive at my door steps.................

Just kidding.............She is fantastic to work with
All is fine and I'm in good shape, thanks for the TLC
And as I told Julie, I've been totally satisfied with my MGW so getting these parts for me is a future maybe. I'm happy with what I have and I hate messing with something once its good.
Thanks again George.
Kind of how I feel. I need to look over the new weather sound deadener part to see if I want to mess with it but I think not at this point.
George,
I recieved my upgrade pak today... what can I say that hasn't already been said about the quality of your parts and service.
As several other have already stated, my shifter is working very well and I have not been in a hurry to get these parts. Out here in the desert southwest the temp is always high and my shifter is a little stiff at times, but nothing that I have felt needed to be addressed immediately, otherwise I would have install the OEM bushings already.
I don't have any problem with the linkage bracket because I am at 7-8 turns out and I don't powershift the tranny.
If I ever get to Georgia again, I will make it a point to visit your business.
You are the very best in products and service.
Thanks... Bobby M.

George- I bought your shifter used from a guy on the east coast that bought it from you originally. He upgraded his car to a GT500 so he no longer needed the shifter. I was wondering if you could send the revised bracket to me, as after reading your advice to Stoenr I don't want to be stranded somewhere IF it does break, as I've had mine set at 9 turns out since I installed it two months ago and I regularly powershift daily lol.
Let me know, thanks.

I installed my upgraded linkage bracket and bushings last night. Install was very easy the only tool needed was a 13mm wrench. I test drove my car afterwards and the new bushings worked as good as the Ford ones, they were my biggest concern because I didn't want the shifter feel to change. Even power shifting in 90 degree heat was just as easy as before.
The most time consuming part was installing the new rubber plate as the console, shifter handle, sound plate and shifter boot had to be removed.
All said I'm still impressed with this shifter and the customer support.

would it be toom uch trouble to ask you to send it to tom281 and i will reimburse you the shipping?
if not if you could send it back that would be great.

Thats what I like a thinking kind of guy and in the process takes full responsibility for ensuring top customer satisfaction. Two birds with one stone...............
Goldenpony- I'll pm you my address. Thank you for your time!
George- I'll pay for shipping if you want, doesn't bother me. I'd just rather have the upgraded piece, just in case.
Thanks to both of you guys, I really appreciate it.
