Those Vistas also produce a lot of hot air which will help melt the snow !

Ya know Bob I had heard a rumor that the Ford and Chevrolet/GM camps were thinking of a merge to make one giant U.S. auto maker. So I wouldn't be supprised if there were no FMC in 2008-2009. I wonder what they would call it? Fordrolet? It will be a sad day if FMC goes under.......

Hey guys,

Not trying to hijack your thread. I just moved to the Tulsa area and I was looking around for Mustang clubs. Mines a 97, do any of you know of other Mustang clubs in the area? I didn't see any mentioned in the forum. I wouldn't mind catching up with you guys at one of the the BYB meets that was mentioned. Thanks.

Hey Wicked... There use to be a few, however the only one I know of now is Green Country Classic Mustang Club. They welcome all but tend to go with the older stangs. They also tend to favor the show aspect over the performance. Kinda depends what you're in to.

Dunno about you guys... But my baby has been in the garage for the last week just itchin to get out. Ok... maybe it's more me itchin to drive her... but still...

The wife car is pretty much white with salt. I told her not to park too close to me in the garage in fear it might rub off on the Stang...

Well Paul, I have had the unfortunate time of having to drive mine into, around, over and through all this mess as it is my daily driver....... I sure miss that Explorer in weather like this.

Wicked 5 0 - I don't know of any clubs other than the ones that were just mentioned....sorry.

Where has everyone been lately? The thread has all but dried up and blown away.

Thanks guys. I'll keep checking around. I'm gonna try and make the BYB get togethers and I'm sure I'll see some of you around.

Ok, new mods subject.

Bob where did you say you were getting that colored piping to run around your door inserts from? I was thinking to get some in silver to accent my dashboard and door handles.

Anything that you do to the interior is a step in the right direction, to me Ford really did a lousy job of the Mustangs interior and they have really taken a hit over it. Open the door and you are overwhelmed with flat black plastic.

www.mrmikes.com is where you get the piping, click on the PT Cruiser area and you will see color samples which you can have him send to you. The site says you must buy 30 feet for $30.00 but I have heard he will sell you 20 feet. On the 30 feet you can buy any color as long as it is 30 feet, for example 10' of silver, 10' feet of white and 10' of black. The web site is a little confusing and if you have problems let me know.

I would suggest getting your free samples first and play around with it and see where else it will work and what color would work best for you. Let me know when you are ready to buy and maybe we can go 50% - 50%, neither one of us will need anywhere near 20" or 30'.

Jeff.....what have you decided to do about the UDPs for your car ? Saw your post asking for opinions....be nice if we had a real mechanic that could give us input on the different mods for our cars....there has always got to be a downside to these performance mods and it would be nice to know before we do these mods.

Paul...hope Saturday the 16th. brings us good weather.

Howdy fellas. It' been a while. I've been swamped with school and work. Final are done thank goodness.

As to the UDP's Bob, I am planning on putting them on after Christmas. I need all the horsepower I can get! Everyone who has them say they have had no problems. I believe them because my 1993 Cobra had them from the factory and I never had any problems. Ford and other car companies build redundancies and overkill on purpose. The pullies on our cars are bigger than they need to be.

Don't forget guys to come to Bob Hurley on Saturday morning. We will make our pitch then. This is all assuming the weather holds clear with no moisture.

Bob, like the piping but won't do it unless they have tungsten to match the outside. Concept is cool.

I got lucky and rode with the wife until today and missed having to have the stang out in the salt and sand and ice and snow. It's clear Paul, you can come out and play now.

Have been trying to find a local powder coater who can do my cam covers in a chrome like finish....

Have called several who's phone numbers are no longer working and several who now only do big industrial parts...

Found two that do power coating for car parts, one would not do the chrome look because they "don't carry the chrome look" and another who would do it but said it will not last because it will not take the heat..he only has the high heat powder coating in black. I did not know they even had a high heat powder coating.

Any suggestions ?
