Great time last night guys! With the nice cool weather, everyone shot there best times. Sorry no pics though... I forgot to grab my camera on the way out the door.

I pushed closer to my N/A goal of 12 sec by turning a pair of 13.2. 12's could of happened if I could of just hooked up better. Still spinning away...

Jeff also had a good night running his best time of 13.6 (correct me if I'm wrong here Jeff) but was having a terrible time hooking up and spun through 1 and 2. The track wasn't preped that well last night... but still respectable times Jeff.

David had the most impressive run of the night IMHO. He ran a 13.5 with only Flowmasters and a drop in K&N as his mods. Not too shabby at all. He also had some great reaction times. He's done this before.... and it shows.

Lesson learned? We all need drag radials. Our top Mph were all over 100 mph. But our sixty foot times were 2 plus seconds. That tells the tail of not being able to hook up....

We should be able to get at least one more session in by years end. Checking the website... Last night was the last of the Fri Night Test N Tunes. They will now start doing the Test N Tunes on Saturday afternoons. This might work better for people, so hopefully we'll be able to have a larger showing. I'm attaching the sced. Let me know what you guys think...

http://www.tulsaracewaypark.com/schedule.htm

In closing... Vista Blue is the fastest color.

Hey Paul I agree great time! It was nice to meet you and Jeff. I thought we all did really well last night. I wonder what could have been achieved with some sticky tires? My predictions would be as follows: Paul - 12.85 @ 106.5 mph, Jeff - 12.89 @ 105.8 mph and Myself 13.15 @ 104.2 mph. However I am pleased to have run a 13.55 @ 103.44 mph. My best run so far. Hey Paul did the guy with the 02-03 black convertible stang say that he was going to shoot over some video or picks to your e-mail?

Guys I am posting a altitude correction factor for tulsa. The altitude of tulsa raceway park is roughly 700 ft. above sea level. So the math to correct your times to sea level is as follows: Take your E.T. and multiply by .9939 to get your corrected time. Take your mph. and multiply by 1.0059 this will give you your corrected mph. For example ifi I take my time of 13.55 and multiply it by .9939 I would have run 13.46 at sea level. If I then take my mph of 103.44 and multiply by 1.0059 I would have run 104.05 mph. Hope this helps!

Funny you should ask! I just checked and Kevin sent them to me a few mins ago. Only the first one works right now. I think it's the first run of the night against Jeff. They didn't get my 13.2 run but still pretty cool.

Hey, cool vids! A shame that he got the worst run I had I actually missed 3rd gear and got out of it on that run . Oh well. This got me thinking though that mabey the club could invest in some sort of video catalog or pictures from events that we do? Or mabey have a photo shoot with all the group and cars?

Yep. Would of been nice to get you 13.5 on tape. I meant to bring my camera that night, but forgot. DOH!

We have talked about doing the group shoot. But it's been hard to get everyone together.

Well, if we can schedule somthing I will make sure and be there. I think it would be cool to have a great pic blown up to hang in the old hacienda.

I have been researching the lowest cost for some race wheels and tires I am thinking of getting a set from Saleen. You can get stock take offs 17" bullitt style like the ones on my car for $89.00 ea. I might even call around local to see if I can find some in town. Sometimes Dino's tires has used take off wheels really cheap. Then another $300.00 or so for some good tires mabey MT ET Streets or Goodyear Drag Radials. I figure them to be worth at least 4 tenths thats a pretty good bang for your buck in my mind.

Hey, Paul do you still have your stockers?

Friday was definitely fun. Paul we should just set a date and then let everyone know. In the past we have tried at events and it hasn't worked. Let's just set a time, place, etc before it gets too cold.

David,
I have researched the drag radials and I serious doubt you can find a set for around 300. The goodyears ran about 180-200 each. MT's might be cheaper though. If you do find them cheap let me know. What size do you plan on getting for the 17in wheels? I have 1 extra wheel and I would only need to buy 1 more. I agree it would reduce times drastically.

Bob, where have you been lately? WHat game did you go to on Friday?

When do we all want to get together for the Saturday TNT?

Hey Jeff good to hear from you. Great time last Fri. Sorry you couldn't stay longer. I was planning on mabey a 275/40/17. Steeda is advertising a set of BFG drag radials in that size for $147.00 ea. I'm not sure what the shipping would be... mabey 50 bucks? I think it's a pretty good price. Here is the site and page.
http://www.steeda.com/products/bf_go...rag_radial.php

I hope to get together again with the rest of the group soon.

I still have all four of my stockers complete with tires. They have about 1 mile on them. Been wanting to hold on to them just because they are original.

I thought about going with a pair of drag lites wheels and BFG drag radials. From the pricing I've seen, I'm looking at $600 or so.

Sounds like you guys had a blast, those videos were awesome,

My bling machine and with about 30 pounds of wax on it would probably never make it down the track,

Seems like Paul has mastered the art of getting off the line,

Jeff, it was just a high school game...my nephew plays for Edmond North and it gives me a thrill to explain to his father how much better high school football on this side of the state is.

Good to see some action on the forum.
