Finally put the cover on and I was actually surprised. It's a lot nicer than the last one, fits better, and is really soft and dual walled cloth. Color also matches about perfect.

Very Nice!
Reminds Me Of The Special Car Cover I Used to Sell! Also the Very Special friend I Made All those Years Ago. And The Entire TMS Family we Were Back in the Day!

For the price of you're GT500, Ford should at the very least provide a premium car cover at no additional cost, to begin with, IMHO Meanwhile, thanks for posting an image, as the car cover is very nice indeed

I agree with you both. I remember those tool kits and stuff, but I think that was a Roush package thing.
I did get a big box of memorabilia stuff the other day in the mail, about 20 lbs, lol. I'll get some pics of the stuff soon. Just some cool little things connected to the car.
This will be easier than my old butt trying to take pics and explain what is in the Ford Performance welcome box. I like the Cobra etched into the tools in the tool kit.
I actually have that Roush tool kit mounted on the trunk of my car. This one has it and the previous one had it.
Not all of them do, I do think it's an option.
Sorry to bother you KC, but could you possibly have any connections to info about my new car? I'm not happy with opening the hood. The procedure for it is pull the hood latch inside, push button on the driver's side hood pin, then push the button on the passenger side. Problem is, the driver's side is sticky, like it won't pop up and you have to work your hand under the gap for the hood release lever.
If you put some pressure on the hood back towards the cowl it it comes up on that side. I really don't trust dealerships to mess with it, I'm thinking lubrication of some kind and maybe an adjustment to the bump stops under the hood might fix it, just curious if you could find any inside info on problems pertaining to that and what the fix they recommend.
It's pretty embarrassing to have a car that cost this much and you have to pry the hood up with your finger tips to get to the latch if someone wants to see it or you want to show it to someone.

Thanks.
Those hood pins are made by Quik-latch products for Ford. I've installed a few here in my shop, typically they shouldn't need lubrication but that couldn't hurt. It may just be a simple adjustment needed. So long as the were installed properly that is...there is only really the height adjustment but if that is off a little bit then they could stick. The fact that you have to push the hood back towards the cowl tells me that maybe they are just a touch too far back and I've found that you can also do a very light tweak but putting a deep well socket over the top and pry toward the front of the car just so lightly and it may adjust it just enough. You are right not to trust a dealership on this as it's unlikely any of the "techs" know what they are doing in this area unless they have been specifically trained for it or have a history in building cars.
