Internet wave

Made an offer to a gearhead I know for the 94. Let's see if he's interested in it. I can't afford the daily commute with it. Mucho dinero en gasolina! And I'm too short in cash to finish the other one.

Great story man. Youve come a long way and saved a lot doing it yourself. I can't believe someone ripped you off for 80 bucks. That's a Lowlife thief in my book. Car looks good.

Stuff happens. It wasn't a big deal anyway, since the original cam had some deep scratches. That's a good excuse to get a new FRPP camshaft later on

Thanks dude. She needs some body work to be good all over again.

Nothing broke, thanks God, so that's all good. The repro fender & bumper cover will be painted by a friend of mine, so the damaged ones will be replaced soon. Also I've been thinking aboud doing a little custom painting to change the bland look of the car. Black roof & pillars and tint it's what I have in mind. Not sure if the spoiler will be black too, haven't decided yet. And the area surrounding the pony in the grille area may or may not be black also. Decisions, decisions.

Update!

The bumper cover and the dented fender are now painted The hood and the right fender will be delivered today to my friend for paint as well. And since all the front end is out, I'll pressure wash everything and paint some minor rust spots to make it all good again.

pressure washer

When I blasted the II before I painted it, I saw shades of white paint I had never even seen before. 30+ years of grim really protected the finish!

Can't wait to see that baby back together.

I'm really pissed off with the guy that painted the left fender & bumper cover. We arranged to deliver the parts this past Sunday. After making the arrangements to get the parts there with my friend in his Malibu wagon, the guy never called me back. Now I have two dissabled cars, one w the blown engine and the other w a dissassembled front end due to a man who doesn't back up his word I gave him a cup of his own tea. I texted him yesterday thai I was gonna go there and pick up the remaining paint & materials today. I never went there.

You got that right. i hope this thing's finished before the end of May, so I can get the car inspected and photograped by the insurance and get a few more bucks from them i need them to fix the other car.

My wallet took another hit by the local machine shp. The block needs to be overbored. After that, the crankshaft needs resurfacing too bye bye money
