Just called Automated Vehicle Status System. As of 12/16 my order contains a compatability error. The order cannot be scheduled until the error has been corrected. Guess I'll call the dealer Monday and try and get their interpretation.

I ordered on 12/3 and my status also has changed to compat. error.
I can tell Ford one thing for sure, I do not want the car at all without the IUP. I will wait at least until March and then will consider other cars if mine is not being built. I would likely consider the G35 and 350Z eventhough I really want the Mustang GT.
I am presently driving a 1993 Ford Explorer and don't know how much longer it will run without major problems.

I understand your frustration but you say you'll buy the 350Z, which you like less, if you can't get the IUP. It doesn't offer the IUP either. If, in either case, you have to live without the IUP why would you buy a car you like less than the Mustang. You're not punishing Ford, you're punishing yourself.

I only meant that I like the Mustang with the IUP and ICAP better than the 350Z and G35. To me it is the interior that really makes this Mustang extra extra special. Without it, the car is so far from the concept of two years ago that I feel like Ford is using the old bait and switch sales approach. I like the body style, but it is not enough to make me want to buy the car when I was hoping for so much more.

By the way, I doubt the IUP and ICAP will be on hold much past January anyway. I can wait until February, no problem.

But on the other hand, lets just say that he chose not to wait and bought one without IUP. Then he would still be punishing himself in a way (No IUP) and giving Ford the cash for something that wasn't exactly what he wanted in the first place.

I ordered Dec 2 as well and as of Dec 16 the status was 'clean and unscheduled' BUT NOW, as of Dec 18 there is a compatibility error.

I'm going to wait until Jan 15/20 - if Ford doesn't know what's going on then, I'll ask for my deposit back.

Sooner or later Ford will have to cut bait or die.

:bang:

if there are 5 numbers after the letter, don't say the letter. It only wants the 5 numbers

Same here, what a runaround, hey it finally worked, just keep saying T82 very loud and very clear..................I am very pleased to announce that i have a compatibility error with my order and it will not be processed until the errer is fixed, what a bunch of BS, I vsure hope the car is whole bunch better than their customer service and build and delivery proceedure...if and whjen this car ever comes in, it better be right, if i have defects and shoddy workmanship after the long ordeal i think i am about to go thru, I will be going ballistic on someone, geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!!!! :notnice: :bang:

I called Ford Customer Service Yesterday three times and was told that I have a schedule build week of Jan 24th. The day before it when I called customer service said that it was serialized and waiting for a build date. I ordered 11-16 Deluxe GT windveil blue-IUP,base wheels, manual, and active anti-theft. So I don't know what is going on.

I confirmed a 1/24/05 build date with the VOPC line 800-(edited) which says this data was "as of Dec 9th". Still says the same today so it has not been updated for some reason. I called customer service line 800-392-3673 and was told "submitted to the plant" with a build week of 1/24/05. No IUP issue that she was aware of. Consider me skeptical...

Same here now have a build date/week of Jan17 to 24th ,....It could be that anyone that got a serial number before the shortage "might" get built , but thats just a guess.
