beautiful work Louie. I can't wait to see the finished product. The extractor vents look great. Where else did you drill holes for drainage???????? I can't wait to see it with stripes and on your car.

thanks Rob.. you know me and my **** perfectionism

i actually drilled one hole on each corner of the hood, to make sure the water -if any- would come out of the hood, should it enter through the ram air vents (i've filled the hood with water and verified these were the best spots for perfect drainage)

here's a pic of the rear of the hood.. obviously it's much cleaner now.
i'll post better ones tomorrow:

It's a tight fit though to get both pieces from one civic grille. No room for mistakes so be careful!!!

Louie your hood looks awesome. Excellent job. I like how you got rid of the hood line.

Here is another teaser. You guys are going to love the attention the car will draw. You thought it got looks with the new fascia, wait until your hoods are on. Congrats to all that have theirs in hand and Phil told me to tell all you guys waiting, to sit tight, they're coming.

Can you please tell us when you paid for your hood or a deposit and when you got your hood? Also, did you get it from Phil or Bruno? Thanks

That is outstanding work! All of you guys have awsome looking cars. I really wished I had stayed with my first choice in colors (Tungsten) after seeing your cars. They look sweet, especially with the new hoods.

Check out this paint scheme on a '68 GT500 KR I saw at Barrett-Jackson. I know the black is not original but for anyone who's thinking of the Venom hood might want to do something similar.... for the discriminating guy who wants to be a little different.

Hey Louie, with your modded vents, what's the distance between them now?

Update:

Just got word from BMC that my hood is with Conway trucking and on its way to my body shop. Looks like things might just work out fine after all. I was worried and just a little communication could have helped but VERY happy to hear the hood has shipped.

GT, a set of your photos is going to my body guy...thanks for posting. I'll do the same as things progress.

I don't have it yet, just a tracking number. And as of this morning, Conway has officially lost it. Placed it in a trailer in LA and when that trailer arrived in Houston and was unloaded the box was not on the trailer.....They say give it a few days and it will likely show up in a different trailer. Makes you all warm and fuzzy hugh?

I talked to Bruno today and he said Phil was doing the drop shipping for them and that 3 of the 10 hoods were damaged.

Can some one PM me with Phil's phone number? The phone numbers listed in the other thread both end up going to the fax.
