*ZING*! Reality check!

you're certainly not the only one with a sonic blue mustang and you MOST definately won't be the only one to stripe theirs, specifically with white.

as much as i'd like to think that noone else will put sonic blue stripes on their white car, i know it'll happen (it's already happened MANY TIMES - ford racing even did it!). the best you and i and everyone else can hope for is that someone in our own neighbourhood doens't do it. :notnice:

Reality Bites! The dealers in the area are slapping white stripes on theirs because they have seen my car. Thank god they are not doing a good job.

Nope! I decided against it. I really didn't want one that said "GT 300," and I was surprisingly not interested in the pony symbol, either. So I just thought it'd look best to not worry about the rocker stripe.

You could just go with solid rocker stripes that don't say anything.

That's what I'm thinking about doing. Like Eddie, I'm not too comfortable with the GT300 label and I haven't come up with anything else, but I think the side really needs something to break up that huge space, just like the hood.

Eddie, thanks for the extra pics. The only thing I'm not sure of is how they look on the rear panel so I'm still considering 10.5". The 11" looks great everywhere else though. I'm considering a rear black out panel, but I'm not sure how I'll like it with the stripes.

I've been thinking of Mineral Gray stripes on Sonic Blue. Didn't see anything like that on here. I'm getting the Medium parchment interior, and thought the brownish tint in the MG would go well with it. What do you all think?

I just got out my colour swatches and I don't like mineral gray on Sonic blue. Not a good combo.

Consider a silver pearl (harley davidson) color. I think that would look good on the sonic blue (though I am partial to the white).

Had my stripes installed by a local Graphics shop. It just happened that I was the first stripe job done on an 05 and I was told by the owner that it was the hardest job he has ever done in 15 years. He also said he has since refined his technique thanks to the job on my car. I have 12'' inch wide by 2'' inch gap which really makes the car look wider. He also did a custom fader stripe with mustang logo along the rocker. The tint job and running pony logo were all done at the same shop. He gave me an awesome price for everything i paid $600 including tax.

Steve, I like it but don't like the running pony on the back window. Then again, I've never like the running pony on back windows.

Edit: You should get the front bumper finished

Steve,

I like that color combo. I think that's the 1st silver with blue stripes I've seen in the forums.
