If any one is still contemplating stripes, you can see how they look by going to this site: http://www.spectrummarcom.com/mustan...pepainter.html click the color of your car then the stripe type and color, B) , really cool to see how they look!

 

I got a quote for a custom paint job. Not exaclty stripes but,

I was going to make it like the steeda car; blacked out hood, between the taillights, side mirrors, and spoiler. All for $565. And I was told he was book for the next couple of months and to come back then.

 

I ask the place that quoted me 900 dollars, apparently that was the quick job. To get a job like 38's (smooth so you can not feel them) 2800... ouch there goes new wheels. I figure if you're gonna do it right, it's gonna cost a little. Maybe I could drive to Louisiana vice Los Angeles and save some money. I am going to have some other work done, so maybe I can get a little break by buying more of their expensive work.

 

Kevinrox, what kind of wheels are those in the picture you posted?

Keep looking, you should be able to get it done for way under 2800. Call some non related folks, lake race performance people and get referred to folks who may be hard to find. My guy was an autobody repair guy who also painted.

 

I dont have a place to host pics at this time, but here is a link to the site I bought my stripes from and the final pics of the car that I sent into the site once I finished installing the stripes.

They are 12" non reflective, I also added GT500 rocker stripes.

It's funny how the light stripes on the dark paint make the stripes look wider. At least to me they do.

StangNut - Yes sir 10" wide 1.5" gap purchased kit at Graphics Express, not a bad price. Check 'em out. If I remember correctly I got my kit for $139.00 for a Deluxe 10 piece kit?? If you're going to use them though I recommend the 20 Piece Deluxe kit cuz you'll be calling them asking for the stripes to finish off the kit...I did.
