I'm trying to decide on width and gap for my stripes when the car comes in. So far I think I like the 10.5" with a 1.5" gap.

I know I'm going with painted. I'm going to do a Metalic Grey base with a Kandy red over it and 4 coats of clear coat. On Performance White with Red interior.

Also will paint the brake calipers red. I have bullit wheels, going to put BFG G Force KDW 255-55R17 tires on.

I saw a red car with white stripes painted on this site. Wish I could find that pic, would like to know the measurements of that one.

 

Different Stripe Option -- Torch Red/Black

Hood Stripes: Large Stripe -- 13", Gap between stripes -- 3/4", Small Hood Stripes on each side -- 1 3/4"

Side Stripes: 3 3/8" high -- I used the Shelby stripe dimensions

Rear Blackout is also vinyl

Thanks StangNut. I know that took time to look up all those links and post them. Now I have a good idea of the options. I was thinking of going black over the body but after looking at that V6 with them on I am having second thoughts. I think I like the dark charcoal better.

I don't remember where I had found this pic (it may have been on this message board), but this is what I'm planning to do to my car soon (the black stripes).

Gap's a little wide for my taste and there needs to be another set of pinstripes on the inside, but the color combo is good.
Gives the LL a tougher, racier look, IMO.

Wow...I was not fond of the Legend Lime, until I saw this with the window tint and the black stripes.

Thanks for taking your time to give us all an overall look at what we can do with stripes. I am on the fence about them though. Just because I want to be different and most people are getting stripes. I have the black GT and was thinking about red stripes. We'll see. If I do, I will send you some pics.
