Robyn, remind me, whichspoiler did you get?

I bought the Xenon spoiler but sent it back. It did not fit! If you line up where it should go on one side of the trunk, it was over on the other side. Plus, I was not happy with the way it mounted on or the quality so I'm going to wait till the Cobra spoiler comes out or something better. I had him put the stock one back on for now.

Thanks Robyn and Dave. I am so glad to have the vinyl off my car. It had already started to crack in some spots and made it a pain to wash/wax the car. Of course, I had VERY cheap vinyl because it was temporary. Can't wait to see your pics, Robyn.

Wow, Ian! You' car looks great! I love everything. The scoop, the spoiler delete, the pony gas cap, the pony fender emblems, the stripes, the pins...

As for the spoiler delete, give it a little time. I started second guessing myself once I got the car and I had wanted it w/o a spoiler even before I knew I was getting one. Now the spoiler looks "out of place" when I see one. And when I look at one up close, it just looks weird. Eventually, you'll probably feel the same way.

That looks outstanding! Love the Mach 1 theme. A flat black spoiler and tail light panel would really finish it off nicely. And maybe even some Mach 1 wheels? Are they making them for the '05 yet? I know I've seen some on an '05, but I'm not sure if they had the right offset or someone just didn't care if it was wrong or not. (a lot of that going around)

Jason,
Thanks, Swingle007 has the 03 - 04 Mach 1 wheels. They are not the same offset but he says they do not stick out. I would like to do the shaker, paint the spoiler black and do the Mach 1 wheels. Everything just short of hanging "Mach 1" emblems on the side (and no side molding). Over time I might be able to do that but for now gotta feed the 66 another bucket of money!

What's the size and spacing of your stripes? They look good.

They are 11" with a 1.5" gap straight.

Robyn... all I can say is WOW! Your car looks awesome. I love the color and spacing of your stripes. And I love that they match the color of your bullitts. Very nice job.

By the way, I like your personalized plate too. I should be getting mine in a few weeks and it will say "05GT350" to match my GT350 rocker stripes that are coming. Are you planning on getting some GT300 rocker stripes? Graphic-Express can make their GT300 rocker stripes in a custom color called charcoal metallic, in case you want the rocker stripe too.

Thanks Ian!

The pics are kind of contrasty, actually too much sun!

I was thinking about the side stripe. Kind of like it without though. If I do get them I would go with Vinyl if it matches. I just don't think I want those perminent.

Good choice on the plate, I like that!

I have to bring it back for him to paint the calipers red. I just didn't want to leave it any longer, I missed driving it! I'll wait a few weeks. Only big thing really left to do is the exhaust and have it tunned.

Robyn, I also am getting vinyl rocker stripes. That's the way the old Shelby's were anyway... painted racing stripes, vinyl rocker stripes. And as far as the brake calipers, the red will look great. But why don't you save some cash and buy a brake caliper paint kit for $15-$20 at an auto parts store and paint them yourself? I painted mine black, and took just a couple hours to do it including taking off my wheels and jacking up my car. It's really easy. The kits come with tape but if you have a steady hand, you don't need to tape anything off. Just be careful and have some q-tips and some paint thinner or fingernail polish remover in case you get the paint somewhere it's not supposed to be.

Just one of the few negatives about having a white car. It's really hard to take good pics of them.

As for the stripes, they look GREAT! You really nailed it with those measurements, Robyn.
