After the weekend when I get the install set up we'll have pictures, prices, etc. Sorry for the delay Crazy week mixed with manufacturing staff being away. We'll be ready to roll this week.

We're probably going to offer the black powdercoat first. The silver reflective powdercoat just isn't "chrome" enough. I'll post a picture of the sample with the install photos. We might have to offer a polished T304 stainless shield for those who want chrome. I should still be able to knock those out next week. Let me just get the prototype photos up first.

CR... is the paint-match shield still an option?

Maybe down the road shortly. For now, black powdercoat and maybe polished stainless.

Paint matched would be in the future.

As stated before, our guy in manufacturing was out last week and I'm getting the prototype installed and photos today/tomorrow hopefully. Definetly by Wednesday. I could have released something to the public last week, and when it fit like crap and rattled it wouldn't have been fun.

I would also be curious to what the intake temp would be vs the standard heatshield sent with the JLT. How much of an improvement besides looks.

Thanks

* If this was already given somewhere in this thread, just let me know.

This will not have an affect on intake temperatures. The only case that it would is during extreme heat conditions or exposure to excessive sunlight. Such as someone in Arizona going to a carshow, popping the hood with the black shield and letting it sit all day. Then getting into the car and driving.

You wont feel any noticable difference other than that type of situation because the aluminum doesn't hold radiant heat well, but rather transfers heat. That in conjunction with plastic intake tubing from the JLT and you'll be good to go.

We will, however, confirm this in testing. It's just kind of hard with 13 degree weather in PA!

Just gave my guy the C series prototype today. So the J series should be priced, pictures, and test fitted by Friday. I want to thank everyone for being super patient with my manufacturing guy, he's killing me here.

CR... so the "C" version should be 1 week behind the "J" version (so pricing/pictures/test-fitted by 2/16) ?

I'm going to try and get the C version out only a day or two afterwards. This guy is really good (when he comes to work LOL) and should be able to knock it out quick now that we have the material ready.

A little bit of detail: we ended up going with a #12 aluminum which is just a TINY bit thinner than 1/8". It's a VERY sturdy piece, and it's going to look killer in the gloss black. We are going to release both pieces in gloss black first (the C and J series). We will then release the high gloss version, and we have come to the conclusion that "high gloss" powdercoat is another word for "lame silver". So we think at this point we found a solution! We'll straighten that out after we get the gloss black out!

If I recall correctly the location of the air filter on Don's car, he needs more of a splash guard than a heat shield.

by friday, over the weekend, tommorrow or the next day, definitely by the end of next week, man every day I look at this thread, and every day I see it pushed back a few more days. I wish you would have just waited to talk about it, until you have it in hand. all these delays, and everyday another day extended is getting old, no disrespect tillman, but come on, I have heard that next day, thing about 10 times, lol.
