Thanks! I hope so, they really are nice once you see them! I gotta get installed photos, too but the weather around here has been goofy. Nobody wants to bring up there car in this kinda crap.

Came into work, 70 degrees... really beautiful. By afternoon, 35-40 degrees raining cats and dogs. Supposed to sleet overnight?

What the hell is that?!

I think the C series will outsell the J... thought you would have rolled out the C first, but you must have had your reasons to start with the J.

Don't panic CR ....... They will sell! Promote them with your CAI & tuner packages as a upgrade option I do believe the C series will have a higher demand! Just remember its only money!.....

I agree. I was a bit puzzled to see you make the "J" Series first since the C&L seems to be the more popular CAI. Anyway still waiting to see pics of the "C" Series.

Also can you install the padded seal like the stock pieces have. I see in your image for thee "J" Model that it only has hard rubber on the top to cover the edge. I was under the impression you were going to make the top seal like the factory parts do.

The top seal is called pinchweld. We have to make the metal in a smaller thickness in order for it to fit. We found it was not neccessary on the J series. The C series it will be neccessary, and will be used because of the height of the box.

CR,
Just get your pictures up of the "C" prototype. I know that's what I am waiting for. Then sign us up for a group buy to see what response you get. I just need to know what it looks like and how much.

Thanks fellas! I know in time they will sell. Again, not trying to make a killing on them, just not trying to sit on them, either.

I know the C&L one is going to be accepted well. That's why I got my guy rushing on getting it out!

Just curious, why do they heatshields have to be different for each intake? Since they all use the same sort of filter (conical), couldn't you just create a standard heatshield and then supply different inserts that would give a tight fit around the intake tube? I have an MRT intake and I am looking for a good quality heat shield. I have a feeling I will end up having to make one

The location of the tube is similar, but if it's not exact it puts stress on the rubber couplers to the throttle body. We could test out the MRT intake and see how fitment is with both the J Series and C Series (after prototype gets tweaked a little)?

My biggest issue with my current heatshield is that it has a large gap around the MAF on my C&L Street so it's not keeping as much hot air out as it could though it's probably not a huge issue it's not ideal by any meaure. Would the fit be good around the filter/MAF area? Maybe RPM Outlet sent me the wrong air shield too, wouldn't surprise me.

I would be interested in the C series if the price is right.

I Need One NOW!

I just tried putting in my C&L CAI today and I gave up trying to fit the crappy plastic shield that came with it. Ended up tossing it aside altogether. I only just came upon this thread today so the timing is right. Shouldn't take long to get here to NH from PA. Do you guys have the C shield ready to go yet? I WANT ONE! Polished or black powder coat doesn't matter. Let me know when you have it ready.
