I really dont see if this will make it better. Sure it looks cooler and had a ratchet movement but the tranny is still controlled electronically. It will still not shift if your rpms will be to high and if you shift too close to the rev limited it will lag a alittle. Try shifting with the factory shifter, it will be the same, just not look as cool.

That's all I want it to do :-) I actually don't really want a manual transmission, I just want an auto that I can hold the gears in with out the worry of accidentally slipping it to far.
I have tried it with the factory shifter, and it works just like I want it to! However, I'm afraid that I'll accidentally slam it all the way down into 2nd or 1st, which I don't want.

Ok, first things first. The shifter is assembled, in the car and it works!. Shifting through all the gears was good. We have the "rental" car here through friday so we are going to make a few minor adjustments on the electonic park lockout solenoid, enlarge the shift plate slightly more to improve the shift "feel" and put it back in the car on Friday afternoon. Engineering "says" their plan is if all is good on Friday they will release the part, put the bill of materials etc. into the computer with the part # etc. and then I should be able to start accpeting orders!!!. Now, with that being said it will still likely be several weeks to a month'ish before we have production quantities to ship, but we're finally gettin' close...=)
I'll update more later today hopefully or tomorrow...

Will this work for a 2005 V6 auto with the 5-speed 5R55S? I know I've asked before but since we're close I want to confirm so I can start saving up for it. You're site says 5R55E but my service manual says S.
THANKS!

Yes, it will work on both the V6 and GT.. Also , since we're at it we are testing out our new deep trans pan for the Mustang as well. We should be releasing that as well !!.. Price will be MUCH better than the PA transmission pan currently avail in the market now...

I know there was talk earlier about possible tuning that went along with the shifter. What's the status on that? Will extra tuning help out the shifting? (have the transmission react quicker when the shifter is moved, and so on?) Or was this more or less a package deal to go along with general engine tuning?
