guaging interest in an auto shifter

I'll hopefully be able to start Accepting orders for the shifter in a couple weeks. engineering signed it off on Friday and they are finalizing the bill of materials as we speak. Once that is done, we will submit all the parts lists to the materials locations to get production parts going..Then, I should be able to start accepting orders. I figure orders won't start going out until sometime in Sept. Once I get confirmation I can accept orders I will submit a new post and request emails be sent directly to me for the list to be formed....Chris
is this looking like it may make it sometime this month? sure would be great!

Guys, we are doing 3 prototype shifters with the new parts and drawings confirmed. Like I mentioned before, we tested it out a few weeks ago and everything checked out ok. Assuming the proto's are correct and it all works as we expect I will start accepting orders for them early Oct with a shipment date by early Dec. I can tell you we have entered the bill of materials for the shifter in the computer and the pricing is getting re-quoted now and in fact could be less than originally thought!.

Thanks for the good news Chris. Glad to hear there's good progress. Hope all goes well and you can get these out for Xmas for everyone. "New parts & drawings"? Did you change the design?

I really want to try out a new shifter, but A looks like crap! It's to flat and doesn't even compare to the stocker. Now on the other hand, B looks freaking awesome. I'd throw that on in a heart beat if some one made it for our cars!!

Yeah, well, if anyone bothered to look at the B&M website, or has any experience with B&M shifters...they might notice that B is a pic of an old shifter that won't even fit our cars. Those aren't the two choices that were on the drawing boards. They're not even the same kind of shifter.
Besides, it's functionality we're after. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't plan on staring at my shifter. I would rather drive.
Considering the amount of work that went into getting this to work with our AT's, and the merger and crud, s'all good. Plus this new B&M shifter offers changeable heads, O/D switch, and a design that appears to be so simple and accessible that it will be perfect for modding.
Of course, if Ford had woken up to the direction the rest of the Automatic car world was going, we wouldn't be relying on B&M to create a whole new shifter for us. WTF happened with the S197? How come every other freaking automatic on the market today has a tiptronic/slapstick/shiftronic/whatever and the Mustang got left out? Stupid's what I call it. Perfect market for such a thing.
Alright, so the new shifter by B&M isn't a work of art. I don't see anyone else making one.
