Maybe, but we already know from Chris that you can change the handle on the B&M shifter to practically whatever type you prefer. Some of us like T's, some of us like a ball-shifter, others like a pistol-grip. Flexibility for the end-user must count for something. Do we have any information on whether the TCI shifter allows this or not? So far, one of the things that attracts me to the B&M shifter over the TCI, is that -I- get to choose what I want to use. I don't find the T-handles appealing at all, and I only halfway tolerate the stock T-handle as it is. If the TCI doesn't offer a way to swap handles, even if I buy one, I'm yankin' the hack-saw out first thing.
Anyone got any actual production information about the TCI shifter yet? I haven't found anything in my digging. Maybe if we poke the vendor.

I don't want to sound pessimistic, but the SEMA TCI display doesn't exactly mean they have a product ready. All we have to go on is some marketing gizmos and a mock-up in a box. Worth keeping our eyes on, though.

Whoa there Arrow! No offense intended, I was just kidding that the TCI auto shifter was just unveiled and it was instantly being ripped apart. Your opinion is just as valid as mine, or more so. I for one am stoked to see something offered that fits the muscle car look of our car. And besides, they make driving gloves for folks who's hands get cold from grabbing metal shifters. LOL!

Was the B&M shifter shown at SEMA?
And if you'll excuse another thread hijacking...I haven't seen many pictures or read of new parts from SEMA (excluding TCI). Did everyone just do showcars this year?

The TCI shifter will retail at $406 according to the sheet I got from them at the show. obviously I must say I am not surprised that somebody jumped on the bandwagon since we have been dragging our feet on this deal , although I was a bit surprised to see it was them. Nonetheless, i will also say I like the looks of their design as well, albeit the function of this shifter looks to be in question based on the internals of it that I saw at the show and in talking with their people. See, we have a VERY good relationship with the folks at TCI..Have a look at some of their outlaw series shifters and you will figure it out. Anyway, hopefully I will be able to provide some additional info on ours shortly now that OTHERS in the company have seen what we all saw at the show....Chris

$406.00 for a friggin' shifter? Must be made out of "unobtanium" or some other b.s. metal. I understand that quality parts cost money; I'm in the dealership parts business. But that is CRAZY! I hope whoever came up with that retail sleeps well at night.

I believe theirs will sell in the mid $300 range. Ours should be in the mid to upper $200 range. And of course like I have promised in the past, the members will get a "special" price on the initial buy below the normal selling price.

Ok, so I am new to this thread. I have scammed a few of the beginning pages, some in the middle and the last 3 or 4.
What's the deal now?
I am assuming B&M has been working on their auto shifter for the Mustang for 2 years and still have nothing to show for it? That's what I am getting from reading 10 or so pages.
What's this TCI shifter I have been hearing about lately?
