Ah, so you ARE listening to this thread.

Any luck getting us an install manual or some more teaser pics?

Sorry bud. We haven't done the manual yet. We may put the "teardrop" style **** in the kit though rather than the round one since it gives it a "beefier" appearance and better grip. Not sure though

I am shooting for accepting orders at SEMA time. We are also trying to drive the cost down a little more to make it more price conscious. Currently, we are about a $300 street price but think with a bit more tweaking we can bring it down even more without sacrificing any quality of the unit

To be honest, it doesn't matter, Chris. I'm sure the bundled **** will work fine, and we'll be able to change it if we don't like it. So as long as B&M ensures that that unit holds up under abuse, and it doesn't damage our cars, we should all be cool with the rest.

having different style ***** would be good. I assume you could put any shifter **** on there, it's a standard thread size, right?

If I remember right, the answer is yes. Although I'd have to peel through the pages of this thread to confirm that.

Hey Chris, any word on the transmission pan with dipstick you mentioned that was being considered by B&M a while back?

Looks like the trans pan will not be released. There are too many issues with the factory fill procedure and its pressurized process etc. It is a big headache and not worth it IMO for what the costs of the pan would be , then the fill process on top of that. The benefit of extra fluid and cooling doesn't outweigh the cost at this point.. Just being honest...

Thanks for being straight on it Chris. Too bad Ford didn't engineer the tranny pan to be more user friendly. Go figure! LOL!

Doesn't FRPP offer a deep-pan for the S197? I thought I saw one in their catalogue. Could be mistaken....but if they did, there must be some way to get it to work.

Guess you'll just have to sneak someone on the inside...

There are already other trans pan options available... one is deep pan with a dipstick, and another is a dipstick kit that can be added to the stock pan.

Don W - Yes, those two options do exist. The PA deep pan is "too" deep for use on a lowered car, and the Ratstang add-on dipstick looks like quite a project for the do-it-yourselfer. I was hoping there would be an OEM looking standard pan with dipstick. Oh well......

Chris,

Is this shifter going to be shown at the SEMA show? It would be great to see it in person before ordering it. I will be at the show on Tuesday the 30th.
