I ordered my car 2 days after you did 1/18/06 Priority 10
yet,I still have NO info from my dealer. They said that they will call me when they hear something.
I should have a VIN# by now right? i just want to get some opinions before I go back up to the dealer and bug them again.
I ordered mine 2 days after you and mine has been built, so I would assume yours is close and should definitely have a VIN by now

Still waiting word from my salesperson to give me a railcar number? Would attempt to call the Analyst myself, but I don't think it'll fly being I don't sound like a girl!
It does sound like it started by Convoy, then rail (currently), then back onto Convoy for the last leg of the journey. Funny thing is Mr.K said he still shows no shipping info!
Don't you know any women who can call the analyst? You have to know at least one who would do a favor in return for a ride in your flashy car! I hated calling the analyst. The last time I called (when I got the railcar), the analyst said "Jessie, don't you know how to track your vehicles online through Concepts?" I said "Oh yes, I have that info." and hung up quickly. The ERL said mine started Convoy too (but I think that may be from plant to railyard). I think it has to pull off the train sometime soon to be trucked to the dealer's small town, so I will lose track then. I'm dreading that time.

Tony, post your VIN here: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index...wtopic=4&st=900 but do it fast, b/c Kzinti will be out for a few days starting tomorrow, and you will want an update today. Also, read the very first page of the thread. It will tell you all about calling the ERL and some other useful information for you to ponder during this torturous wait. Congrats, and Good Luck!

Bill - did you see this?
ETA Destination MIRA LOMA MIRLOMA CA 2006 02 22 23 00
Arriving at 11pm on the 22nd. Now, the ERL said ETA is week of 2/18. I guess 2/22 fits.

You will be driving yours before me.

In my case, Mira Loma is FAR from San Diego (maybe 3-4 hour drive). So I would assume the UPRR ETA is when the railcar reaches its offloading point, which will put me at a dealer ETA of 2/23.

However, like you, it'll most likely be Saturday before I can make it down.

I noticed that the UPRR's ETA changes at each of the stops. So, it's difficult to estimate the exact day of arrival, probably why Ford gives the 'week of' estimate.

Here's some insightful info from UPRR, just trivial stuff, nonetheless, cool to look at.

point to point routes

station maps

US rail map

I guess you won't hear from Kzinti til Tues or Wed. Wonder why he didn't update you yesterday? Time to complain to the dealer.

I wondered that, too. Guess he is tired of giving me bad news. He did PM me the day before and said he was going to make some phone calls Thursday, but he didn't tell me about them either. He may have left messages and they didn't return the calls.

I called my dealer this morning (also saw them at a booth at the fair Wed night) and he said they would call the plant, too. He said he would call me back, but he hasn't yet.

Not sure what they will do... it's not really the dealerships fault. Maybe I'll get a fee boot.

Can't believe no one from the factory doesn't know what's going on with your ride, Tom. It's almost like it's cloaked in a corner and workers pass by it a hundred times a day and pretend it's not there!

The factory floor I'm sure has limited free space, where are they parking these cars with 'Quality' issues? Better not be outdoors!

Somebody will eventually do something about it and hopefully get the ball rolling again.

Bill - do you think the train engineers are off today? Neither of our cars show movement. (j/k)

Good question! In fact, how often is the UPRR trace site updated?

I'm trying to picture how the cars are parked/stacked on a railcar... have any idea? Hope they're covered!
