Tom - those are cute kids, but your bronzed little girl is the cutest! You didn't mention the hamster.

Bill - sounds like we are both on the same status.

Program is Ulead Photo Express 4.0. Pretty easy to use, not complicated like Adobe.

Yup, just waiting at this point. Too bad we can't check if they've been loaded onto the convoy and track it!

Ya know... being inspected is great, but this is actually costing me money. The value of my trade has dropped over $400 since the time I ordered the car. Moving into March will drop it more, I'm sure.

If there was a $500 option to have the car fully double checked (with an unknown waiting time), would any of you have opted for it?

Nope. That's what the 3/36 warranty is for. If it doesn't break by then, it's good to go!

I wouldn't take the $500 option. Sorry to hear that about your trade value

While we're sharing - the avatar is my girl.

You'll get to see me next to my car when it arrives... Trying to be more optimistic... I said when, not if.

Cute daughter, Susan. I'm sure she got her good looks from her mom!

Now, I'll have to post one of my boy now... see what you all started?

It's BUILT!! And according to the dealer, it'll only be another 9 days until delivery...

I'm gettin a $1000 extended warranty plan, good for 10 years/100,000 mi. I'm planning on keeping this car for life, or at least as long as I can. Plus, I know Ford's come a long way in terms of quality, but nightmares of my paren'ts '90 Bronco still echo in my head...

Congrats Shaun! woo hoo!!

My update for the morning. Chris didn't catch the dealer before they sent the driver. They assured him that the driver is an experienced, retired man who will baby the car. Guess we can't do anything about that now.

Meanwhile, he convinced them NOT to drill holes. Yippee!! He is calling back and asking for no wax. I sent him the Zaino links and he's planning to purchase that stuff today.

We are planning to arrive at the dealership by 10am Saturday, pick it up, have lunch, and drive it on home. Current forecast: 68 and 40% chance of showers. But today's current conditions are listed at cloudy while it's gorgeous outside.

I am not going to pay Tom until I am sitting behind the wheel in my driveway.

Wait... is the bet that I will have the car, or just that it ships?

I don't know. You were the one who made the bet.

She says this with an evil grin as she leaves town for a 3 week vacation upon receiving the car from the dealership.

My car was built and yours was in a thousand pieces. When I first saw a delay, I think I bet that your car would be built and you would have it at your house before mine even ships. So, if it ships today or tomorrow then I might actually lose the bet... I HOPE!!

3 week vacation? Think mine will ship within 3 weeks? I'm not so sure.

I would hope so, but as much trouble as you have had, I just wanted to cover my bases
If they don't fix that stupid railcar of mine I may be joining you.

I would hope so, too... but as optimistic as I'm trying to be, everyday I just expect for Kzinti to say "sorry, no update".

Don't let his cute smile fool you, at 11, he's a trained martial artist who doesn't take any cr@p, but he's a good kid with a kind heart.

I think my salesperson works the late afternoon/evening shift. No call yet. It's got to be there by now.
