Sister got a new Escape today. Don't think I mentioned it in here, but she was rear ended last week in her '05 Escape. She's OK aside from some whiplash. But we went out this afternoon to find a replacement. She really wanted a Jeep and we looked at a 2010 Liberty but it needed a little work and she just didn't like it as much as she had hoped. Ended up test driving this 2009 Escape and she felt much more at home. Has the V6, 6spd auto, and AWD. Its also got Sync and heated seats so a lot more comfortable than what she had before.

That's the saleswoman BTW. Not my sister.

Wait, add another $30. I missed the last one. Miranda Lambert counts, right? But then again, I've only traveled to Canada. And it was barely over the border. Does that even count?

Well that's a lucky SOB that did it. I've always wanted to rear end your sister.

Tell me something I don't know.

Hell, I might even do the same to Nathan with enough vodka in me, he really ain't bad looking. Do I go to double hell for that? Probably according to conservatives running for president.

Just kidding.

I've put very accurate thermometers in every room in the house and they all read pretty much the same so I think it may just be me. But I do think its ****ed up that 1 degree makes that much difference in the way I feel, 68 cold, 69 hot, seems ****ed up. I know what you're saying though. I do notice a difference between the day and night and I partially close the vent in the room where I sleep in the winter because I can't breathe and I can't stand the heat . The room where my thermostat is has a picture window with a seating area built into it that sets out about 36" deep outside that is about 140" x 80" and it faces due south so the sun beams into that room at all times of the year, so even with blinds a lot of heat comes in there so I think that room warms more where the thermostat is. But I don't see any difference in temps from room to room in the rest of the house. Maybe I'm just crazy or going through "manopause".
It is not just you. I have found in the ladt few years that I am very sensitive to a few degrees difference in temperature. 68 degrees and I am freezing. 70 degrees feels great. 72 and I am burning up

Why not? You got a touch of Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

Its worse than that for me. 68 and I'm freezing my **** off (granted I've got ceiling fans running because I need some air moving) but at 69 I'm burning up at night when I try to sleep. 69 is pretty good when I'm siting around watching tv, but when I try to get under the covers and go to sleep, I sweat like a pig and burn up and can't breathe, and my nose dries out and stops up.

I adjust the vents closed half way in the bedroom where I sleep and that helps, but I just can't get comfortable. I sleep pretty good at 68 with the vents half closed and I'm under the cover. But if I have to get up and pee, it feels like a freaking ice box when I pull those covers back.

Something has gotta give pretty soon, because I don't sleep well anyway. My mind runs wild with ****ed up dreams and other crazy ****, and I'm on edge all the time when I'm asleep anyway. The least little sound wakes me up in a defensive fight mode so even a creaking floor board from someone walking through the house wakes me in kill mode instantly and it takes an hour to fall back asleep, if I'm lucky and my mind doesn't start to wander.

I've been suffering manopause for 50+ years! I could sweat just thinking about sweating always freaking hot! If you ever hear about a man self combusting in PA it will most definitely be me! I'll be an X-Files case for sure!

Nice! I wish I could get mine totaled so I could get something newer lol. I don't need 3 car payments though. I just wish this 05 wasn't such a rattle trap slug. It's scary getting on the freeway.

Ya, I'm starting to feel the same way about my '01 Explorer. lol Need to fix the shifter, something's rattling in the front left suspension, and my darn belt is stupid squeaky whenever it's cold or damp out. Really tempted to get a Focus ST for a fun DD, but I don't want another car payment either. Same dealer had a '15 for $23k ($29k MSRP) plus they have 0% apr on 2015s right now. So tempted, but I need to save money.
