How much is the voucher and coupon code? Can you buy a 1 or 3 day pass? All you really need is less than an hour to program everything.
When I was on the phone with him, I had him reinstall IDS as dealer.

Well Roush just called and needless to say they where zero help. Basically said that it was not practical almost illegal etc but if i had to do it i would need to buy a 2013 PCM from ford.

Thanks to Sal not giving up we were able to get track apps working. Got a beautiful 2014 cluster working 95% minus the gauges. Only sacrifice was cruise control so I will take it anyday. Thanks again to the BlueEyedSnake and the pioneers of this mod.

No problem, glad we were able to get you close enough, but I hate coming up short. There has to be a way to PMI your PCM. For now if you want, you can by a new switch and take it to your local electric to set the values right as per Jims post. That will at least get you cruise control with no light on the dashboard. I don't use cruise control so it would have never been a deal beaker. I was serious about you going to a dealership and checking out the pcm on a 2014 Roush.

Wondering if all copperhead PCMs are created equal?
In other words, the PCM that the V6 cars (or even Shelbys) carry are teh same as the V8 cars? They just need flashing? V6 PCMs are much cheaper than V8 PCMs.

I didn't check the wiring diagrams, but for sure, between the 2010 and the 2011+ the pins are different. As the V6 only uses 6 ignition coils etc, I don't know if the PCM has the additional Pins wired, but not used.
For the 3V it is probably best to use a 2011+ GT500 PCM due to the different fuel system on the coyotes. Coyotes use a manual pressure and the 05-10 and all GT500 use an electronic pressure sensor and fuel pressure is controlled by the PCM. The only thing you would loose with a GT500 PCM, is the variable valve timing of the 3V.

I'll have to investigate the wiring.

Time to get back in the swing of things I think. Please, If I decide to get married again, someone come shoot me in the man area.
Things to do.
1. Analog inputs for BlackBox
2. Check out copperhead PCM firmware revisions for newer hardware. (I think they all have the same FET's)
3. Finish new BB design, prototype picture coming soon.
4. Get 13 cluster working in 05.
I wont be available all the time, but i'm going to make a darn good effort.
It is illegal to modify the software itself Well, depends on who u ask. EFF is a good resource here.
Cheers,
-Matt

Good to have you back. Any chance you can finish and test the optocoupler?
The bb again quit working with the gas level low yesterday, so next time I will contact you
Thanks,

Alex,
By quit working, you mean that the Black Box stopped sending signals to get the LCD guages working? Does this only happen when the cluster reads low fuel level and gives the warning?

It might be code related. My bb didn't work at all in the beginning, until Matt hooked it up and found that it didn't like that there is no AFR coming in. So it decided to do nothing. A 1 minute fix I believe the empty gas issue is similar.

Glad to see your back Matt and I know what you mean about getting married again....
My old BB also would reset or stop working on cold start. I would have to flip the switch to off on the BB, then turn the car off, flip it on and start the car. I honestly couldn't tell yo why it happened other I did notice it when I started the car for the first time that day. Oh, and I could tell it happened cause all the gauges would stop working.
