'13-14 Cluster into '10-12 car (with TrackApps) retrofit

Yes, 2014 base GT. I have seen the dtc, it also throughs a couple of other codes. Don't want to mess with it too much since it the cobra cluster instead of the pony, but was wondering if swapping the as-built will also change the boost gauge to the head temp?
I always use the seatbelt so don't mind the missing chime. But the park sensors setting is tempting.

Do you have a VCM to change the AS-BUILT? I tried GT500 AS-BUILT in my GT 0cluster just to for the heck of it ... I don't think it changed my CHT to BOOST. It also did not give me RED/WHITE/BLUE MyCOLOR option.

Did you get the snake on start up at least? Did Launch control appear?

No, if you buy the 2013 ABS module you will have track apps without the need of flashing. Flashing just allows you the ability of not needing a modified cruise control switch or black box, but you will need to get a tune to make sure your car is running right (Not to lean or rich... etc).
For me, I wanted every ounce of use out of the 2014 GT500 cluster and features, so I flashed my PCM to a 2014. My engine is modified anyways and I will be installing some aggressive camshafts this week and was going to get a custom tune anyways. I talked to my tuner and told him what I was doing and he had no problem helping me out getting everything worked out so my car would run perfect.
On a side note LEXiiON, After installing a base tune from Lund the tach does go to 7,000 RPM redline after reaching operating temperature. Even Launch Control works as it's supposed to. Now I need to figure out how to make the Cobra appear in the gauge cluster instead of the mustang. All the 2014 GT500 have the Cobra in their cluster. I have 2014 as built and I PMI'd the IPC with 2014 VIN and no go, mustang is still there. Any idea's for the anyone? I'm not sure if I need to flash anything else.

I'd like to upgrade my '11 base as well and just want to make sure I get this straight.....
To get full functionality (with track apps), I'll need the cluster, modified cruise, black box and abs module.........correct?
My car already has a custom tune on it (tvs), so if I do the install with the black box I will NOT have to get retuned???
Thanks in advance. Great thread!!!!

No it worked just fine. I sold the car a few weeks ago. I even went as far as hooking up the steering wheel switch correctly and everything. I took it out before I sold the car along with my 13 taillights(which are already sold) and some other parts

Alex, did you input your own car's VIN and programming into the cluster? I know Track Apps would disappear, but did the guages? And also, did the steering wheel feel also disappear?
Cheers

I never put my VIN into the cluster.
But yes, with my as build, no steering feel, no Track Apps, no Gauges.

I've only played with it a few times, but LC is pretty cool and I'm glad it works even though I probably won't use it often. I'm going to change the as built around tomorrow, cause I want the cobra. I loaded DR3A-12A650-AJD into the the PCM, which I thought was 2014 GT500 PCM. I then PMI the IPC with a 2014 VIN which was the same one I used for the ABS module. I even changed the as built in the IPC, but no Snake. I want a Snake.... Lol I am happy that everything works perfectly, but I don't like the Pony, no offense to anyone that likes it.
