Still having a hard time finding the clusters. Can we get them new from ford? I think I read somewhere that they won't sell them?
Make sure you have the cruise switch changed as I outlined in the other thread as it will be the closest to matching the OEM functions.

I think Matt is also working on a permanent cruise fix.

Ah, yeah. Sorry about that. The select shift will require some wiring, correct? I will read your thread again on that...

I will not have to flash PCM for the track apps though correct? That is my main concern. I am wanting everything to work if I am going to go through this process...lol.

No, if you buy the 2013 ABS module you will have track apps without the need of flashing. Flashing just allows you the ability of not needing a modified cruise control switch or black box, but you will need to get a tune to make sure your car is running right (Not to lean or rich... etc).

For me, I wanted every ounce of use out of the 2014 GT500 cluster and features, so I flashed my PCM to a 2014. My engine is modified anyways and I will be installing some aggressive camshafts this week and was going to get a custom tune anyways. I talked to my tuner and told him what I was doing and he had no problem helping me out getting everything worked out so my car would run perfect.

On a side note LEXiiON, After installing a base tune from Lund the tach does go to 7,000 RPM redline after reaching operating temperature. Even Launch Control works as it's supposed to. Now I need to figure out how to make the Cobra appear in the gauge cluster instead of the mustang. All the 2014 GT500 have the Cobra in their cluster. I have 2014 as built and I PMI'd the IPC with 2014 VIN and no go, mustang is still there. Any idea's for the anyone? I'm not sure if I need to flash anything else.

As BES said, you don't need to flash the PCM for Track Apps. It will work when you put in the 2013/14 abs module. It will need to be programmed, though, and teh correct as built data put in. This is all in the other thread.

The only thing that will not be 100% is cruise. If you go with the way I have it configured, it will be close, but the cruise symbol will not light up in the cluster.

Guys. Today my wife told me she wanted a Divorce. This came completely out of the blue, and it is going to take a really bad toll on me.

With that said, for the next few weeks I will be out of contact. So I will not be online much, and will be out of contact on PM's and text messages.

Thanks all for your understanding.
-Matt

I'm sorry to hear that. I have gone through a divorce and it sucks. You just need to take it one day at a time and keep your mind busy. I hope you guys can figure it out, good luck.

Sorry Matt .. I've been there done that too .. Not sure of your situation but if kids are involved you'll need more than a few weeks ... Kids complicate divorce big time.

Sorry to hear that. I've been in your shoes. My wife did the same thing. She was very unhappy. I had no clue. Come to find out she had a affair. We went to counseling. It did help a bit. But after 3 years we worked hard and saved our marriage. If you need any advice I'm free.

Guys, just wanted to verify that this all will work with a 2013 GT500 cluster. Also, is $310 a good price for one?

$310 is a good price since the GT500 ones are harder to find. It will work, but obviously won't have a value for boost. PM LEXIION since he has a GT500 cluster in his car.

Yes it does but with some details. Variable redline stays red, no head temp since it has the boost gauge (does not work), if you have reverse sensors you cant turn them on/off and wont be notified when in reverse (they still work), I dont get the seatbelt warning it lights up when you start the car and goes off no chime. Other than that everything works great. IMO $310 is a great price.

IDS can enable/disable the seatbelt chime .. did not know that was part of the Cluster.

What AS-BUILT you using for the GT500 cluster? You using GT500 AS-BUILT or GT AS-BUILT ?

Didn't need to modify the as-built, just program pats. (Bought used)

I am assuming you have a GT ?? If so .. just put the GT AS-Built in there .. it will enable the Parking Sensor Display. The way it is now IDS will show a constant DTC because parking module is trying to communciate with CLuster and cluster is not acknowledging it. It will not Fix the RPM indicator. The prevous owner must have turned off the Seat Belt chime if it is NOT enabled. You can enable / disable it through IDS .. or a KEY ON/OFF sequence mixed with a bunch of seatbelt unbuckles and buckles. Its in the owners manual.
