Dan is probably right - in the APIM. Needs to communicate with that to verify nav? No nav car is without Sync.

If I compare my sync as built with the Nav as built, it is different. But you can't change the APIM as-built or PMI it without oasis

But Dan could actually check it for us: pull fuse 3 in the sjb for sync. Try to do as-built for the ACM ... See if the second line has 4 or 6 digits

I have the 2010 Sync module that came with my nav. Later on I can try putting it in and see if it makes a difference.

Unable to get as built option to come up. Should be in the toolbox screen, corredct?

You need to start module programming in the tool box

OK, got it figured out, but cannot get IDS to recognize there is a nav in the car and give the fields in as built.

So it is not the PCM, GEM, BCM and APIM. There are not a lot of modules left..

Do both you guys have a 2010 Nav system? I'm pretty sure Jim does.

I see they are slightly different for ASBUILT - 2010 as less digits .. but still 2 fields.

I have a 2011 NAV... Non Nav cars only have 1 field -4 digits at 727-01-02...

Lex got his VIN somehow input into his nav. My nav still shows the VIN fromt he car it came out of.

I never put the VIN into the Nav. Mine reads it from the PCM. When I did the PMI on the PCM yesterday, it showed the new VIN. Once PMI'd back it showed my VIN again.
What modules are left? IPC, RCM, ABS... Did I miss one?
It can't be in the cluster... Can it?

Ok, even though Nav and non-Nav have different as-built for the IPC, changing the as-built did not get the expected result. A PMI on the IPC? I guess that involves a PATS reprogram...Interestingly on the new IPC I got from Ford, it specifically mentioned a PMI - Maybe that needs to be done? Is it really in the cluster?


If I got some time this week, I might try....

I am planning on doing the instrument cluster swap with the help of BlueEyedSnake since we're both in Northern California. What I am really confused about is this. I ordered a brand new 2014 SVT Cluster (the one that goes to 220 mph) with the track apps. Ford sent it to me programmed with my 2012 GT as built data to match my vin and they programmed the mileage to match the mileage of my current cluster (I haven't driven the car since I ordered the cluster). I bought the ABS module for a 2014 and the new switch for the steering wheel. The car has a supercharger and other modifications already done to it and I purchased an SCT X4 tuner and have a Lund Tune on it for a 2013/14 GT with the same modifications as my 2012.


Jon Lund told me I couldn't use my FRP ProCal to download his tune so I bought the X4. From what I understand, I have to do the following:


1) Reinstall the original stock 2012 Tune
2) Install the new cluster
3) Modify the new steering wheel button so I can have cruise control
4) Do the PATS/IDS update but enter the as built data of a 2014 GT that was similarly equipped as mine when it was tock
5) Apply the new Lund Tune that takes into account all of the modifications


Does this all sound right? Since Ford has already programmed the new cluster with the as built data of my 2012 is it still necessary to do all of the PATS/IDS work? Can I just return the car to stock tune, install the new Cluster, then install the Lund tune?


I don't want to waste BlueEyedSnake's time and it is a 2 1/2 hour drive from my house so I want to make sure that this is all going to work and I'm not missing something before I waste his time and mine. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!

You need to do the as-built of a 2014 to get TrackApps.
You need to PMI the PCM and ABS in addition to that. And afterwards download the lund tune. Best to chat with BES on this.

You actually need to flash your PCM to a 2014 calibration. Lund will need to write you a 2014 tune for your 2012 engine.

What dmhines said. This way you don't need to worry about cruise not working properly.
