Any idea where I can get a cheap 2011-2012 cruise switch to take apart?

Will be a bit of work to make it look good. At least it is a square cutout that is needed.

Have you tested the switch? Does it work?

Do either one of you Gentlement have any electronics experiance? I may be able to assist you in getting the disired information you want to display on your screen. This would be reading the information from the OBD line of traffic, and re-introducing it on the MS-CAN network using a seperate microcontroller. As far as the Track Apps are concerned, I have it on good.. well knowledge, that the application itself is embeded into the gauge microcontroller, it just neeeds to be activated at Key On

PM's welcome.

No experience here but glad to have you in this thread ... Apparantly SCT can't turn off PATS so I have been starting my Car with 2012 cluster and then swapping in the 2013 cluster while car is running. Are you thinking the track apps will be enabled once I have the PATS relearned and I start the car with the 2013 cluster installed? Or is there more too it than that?

Absolutely would love assistance. At this point, I just want to confirm that the directional/ok buttons work and that cruise works or not.

+1

OMG we finally got a real engineer on here! Is there a way to reprogram the cruise control in the PCM?

Also, will dowloading the 'as built' data onto the 2013 cluster disable all the functions like Track Apps and the like?

My service manager at my local Ford dealership (he's very knowledage and helped me with the nav retrofit) figures that as built data will NOT need to be uploaded into the new cluster, and that PATS will not be an issue.

I now have the diagrams I needed. Just need to go over them.

Thats good to hear .. so you are going to leave the 2013 as built data in the cluster? I have read that when the technician does the PATS Relearn .. he should tell the system the PCM was replaced and not the Cluster. If the tech tells the software that the relearn is for a replaced cluster then it will want to reload the as built data.

I was able to test the buttons ...

No track apps ...

Oh well, not a deal breaker for me. I spent not much on the cluster. Just want cruise to work right.

What the heck is switch info? You have steering wheel harness side of clockspring to see where switch info goes?

He wasn't 100% sure. He did say that I should have the VIN the cluster came out of handy, as if there is an issue, he can look at the lines of code and tackle it from there. That would be more trouble than its worth, though.

I got muy service guy to print off the cruise control with resistor values. I have different values than below for a 2013, assuming I'm reading it right.

Cncl: N/A

2013

Off: Short
On: Short
Set -: 120
Set +: 300
Res: 600
Cncl: 600

That only leaves 3 options:
1) Modify the switch to give the correct signals.
2) Modify the PCM programming to accept the signals you send.
3) Swap in a 2013 PCM, harness, and clock spring.
