Also did you give tech a print out of the AS BUILT data? I think I read they can manually type in as built.

Also. He did not load 2012 AS BUILT into cluster right? Just left original 2013 data?

We didn't do 2012 data since that would not give cruise back. Likely he figured that it would just be the same as it is now. The PCM is not sending the right signals, so he wants to download 2013 software to my PCM. But that can't be done unless we have another car to get it from physically, as he can't get it from Ford without having the car. Not sure why that is.

I gave him all the stuff I had. He could not manually input as built data.

I was getting the nav error, but not now.

Thanks Jim. Decent progress. Any idea if 2012 cruise buttons illuminate the cluster now?

I'll try later. I have to dissasemble the wheel, and I'm not wanting to putter around in the car right now. I'll get back to you, though.

Another insane possibilty would be to buy a PCM for a 2013/14. I imagine Ford would want a rediculous amount for it, though. Finding the right one in a wrecker would be another far out there option.

Yes. Will try to get pats done this week. I will tell him to not load AS BUILT. Just use what's already in cluster.

I'm glad progress is being made

The only way to get the non-working gauges to work is 2013 PCM Firmware or the physical unit.

Best option would be to find a 13 PCM, install it, then use SCT to flash a 12 tune/value file.

You would also have to deal with the PATS again.

Or

Use a external microcontroller to inject the correct data on the HSCAN (but that would have to be figured out)

A PCM would not be cheap - even from a wrecker. My tech guy is looking into how to get his hands on the program files from a 2012/14 PCM. When he has that, he is pretty confident he can then input iti nto my PCM.

I've also e-mailed the people I got my cluster from to see if they have the PCM. It is an auto with the same gears, so it would seem to be the way to go. IF they sell it at a price that isn't silly.

Zeroaviation, you haven't found a cluster yet? Did your nav come in?

Unfortunately not I've been checking car-part everyday.

I did get my ACM, FCDM, and FCIM in. I'm waiting for harnesses which will be in Thur. Sat I will start the swap

What in the Track Apps does not work?

Nothing in track apps works. I have all the screens, but no readings.

Check your PMs.

I just called the JY I got my steering wheel from ... asked if they had any 2013 GT PCM's .. He said not at the moment. He also said he generally bundles them with the pulled engines but if he sells them seperate he gets $150 for them .. not bad.

You get the same results as me, or did your guy manage to tinker with the PCM?

I will be keeping the cluster. I quite like it. Just want those **** switches to work.

Why would you need to load a 2012 tune? Can the stock 2013 tune be any/much different?
