Stripes today....he did 'em while I waited. 2 hours on the nose. Crappy pics, was running out of light and wasn't near any decent scenery. I installed the MMD trunk lid panel when I got back.
The GT500 style spoiler is pre-painted from American Muscle and has a fake Gurney flap molded in. I thought I'd have to Plasti-dip the flap, but the installer trimmed it out in matte black wrap instead. It looks real to me. Stripes are 8" with a 1.5" gap.

Thanks guys. I'm just awaiting my new 'vert boot now. That's it (I hope) for this year. After the driveway fiasco and paying the feds gobs of money so that they can give it people who've never worked a day in their lives, I'll be eating cat food and dandelions for awhile.
My favorite mod so far is the new spoiler....it makes such a big difference in appearance.
My Porter Cable DA buffer showed up today. My next project is learning how to use it.

Congrats on quite a makeover Tom! She looks totally different. I agree the spoiler does make a huge difference in the balanced appearance of the car. much more aggression. Nice choice on the silver stripes too. I do not like your front plate though. Can't believe you put that there
I agree with Mr P on that one.I do like the decklid ALOT. agree with you that it looks better than glos black on a black car.
As far as the porter goes. I have one too. don't be afraid of it like others have said. unless you're a complete moron you won't do any damage. It takes a good paint corrector and high speed to get the swirls out. I'm sure you've got some youtoob videos to watch. I use Adams products myself because there's a distributor in my neighborhood.

My stripe attempt fail taught me that certain things are best left to pros. I watched the process today...the installer and a helper just attacked my car. They eyeballed the centerline and got the stripe dead center on the first shot. No painters tape was used to mask anything. They installed them dry, no spray bottles, and what miniscule amounts of bubbles that appeared were smoothed out using his fingers. The boss was laying my stripes, taking phone calls, shouting orders to the helper, and BS-ing with me the whole time, and got it done in 2 hours on the nose.
Here's a tip...remove your spoiler if you're able...the deck panel too...and the GPS antenna while you're at it. That way the installer can hide his seams and cuts under the parts. My guy really appreciated the extra effort.

I hit 30K on the odometer yesterday morning. 17 days until my 3 year anniversary. I guess you could say I'm the atypical driver when there working up the 30K or 3 years bumper to bumper warranty.
