cool. what's the difference between the normal MGW and he race spec? i was on the site, didn't really see much info on it. what's your take on it? how does it improve over the normal one?

Installed my boss leguna seca wheels today, 9s in front 10s in back. Mickey tires. And the red caliper 5.0 covers.

Definitely jealous! How does it feel? I'm in Atlanta and plan on taking a day to do the same. Can't wait!

Yeah, it was a cool day for sure. Knowing my limited skills, it probably would have taken me 6 hours to do what he did in about 90 minutes.

I believe the difference is in how it mounts to the transmission. He explained it as saying it's now like a top loader like what was found in the 2004 and earlier Mustangs. Much more connected to the transmission so that the shifter moves with the transmission when it torques and therefore prevents misalignment and the infamous high-rpm lockout.

It feels great. The difference in quality between this and the stock shifter is night and day. Way more solid and beefy feeling. Slightly stiffer to shift due to that, but in a good, confidence-inspiring way.

Did you look at his suspension set up on his boss? It's amazing how fast George gets the job done

I would have, but it wasn't on the premises. He said it was out getting an aftermarket hood (can't remember which one) fitted because he needed/wanted better heat extraction.

Redline Tuning hood struts. Awesome. Don't know why I never put them on my 2000.
