David, your RR looks great, but then again I have a soft spot for ragtops. Are those Boss 302 wheels?

Thanks Tom, their the leguna "style" wheels from am. The real boss wheels were pretty pricey.. Can't believe how much it's changed the look,

I know it's a day late and a dollar short, but did you check Levittown Ford for wheels? I got a set of 302S wheels last year....$720 including the sensors, plus $60 shipping....$195 each for OEM Ford parts!!! 2 weeks later I stumbled across new GT500 axlebacks for $280. Lucked out with two amazing deals.

That's pretty good deal, steeda had good deal for the real wheel but an extra 500 went to my suspension. My wallet stretches only so far for the car..lol

Lighter. Less weight off the nose.

It takes 10lbs off of the front of the car. Could drop a lot more weight if I left the z brace and sway bar off.
Small things add up a few pounds here and there. I have a shaftmaster driveshaft going on next thats 18 lbs (I think) lighter than stock.

Moroso catch can installed. Anybody here have this catch can? One hose connector is tight but the one near the battery seems like it wants to be tighter but that would require another full turn which seems difficult to do. I'm afraid to try it and locking it up without getting around all the way. Any ideas on this? It's seems tight enough but want to make sure

Yea all adds up, I was thinking on upgrading the shaft as well. Gotta strip the car down to a flying gas can

I was just thinking guys (dangerous, I know). Since my car is in the body shop and every panel on the car is getting repainted minus the trunk and passenger rear quarter panel (and bumpers, but I don't count those because they don't blend the paint into the next panel for plastic stuff), should I have them shave my rear Sirius/GPS antenna and relocate it?

Then they'd need to repaint the trunk lid and blend into the passenger quarter panel, but at least the entire car would be repainted and I would get rid of that hideous wart on my trunk that makes detailing the top of the trunk lid such a pain!

I'd do it. I hate that thing. I bought the mmd cover to try and make it less ugly but it's still an eyesore.

Haha I have the CJPP cover too! And was going to have them paint it to match since they didn't offer it in Ingot Silver. Then I was thinking why the heck don't I have them just shave it and relocate it to the underside of the trunk.

Like I said, dangerous thinking, because I continued to "think" and said to myself, why don't I have them shave the radio antenna too?? Keep the car ALL smooth, no emblems, no antennas and all new paint. Yeah, I'm having that done too. I'll figure out an antenna relocation later, as I only use my iPod anyways. I do need the GPS to be relocated though, since I use my nav here and there.

The last Moroso I installed had the same issue and I chased the aluminum body threads with a tap and followed up with thread sealant vs Teflon tape. If the fitting already seems tight enough, then you can probably get away with just using the Permatex thread sealant which sets up hard and won't allow the fitting to rotate and leak.

Thanks. I think the thread sealant will be fine.

Yeah, I decided. I'm going to have the shop shave the trunk wart and radio antenna. I'll deal with relocating them later. Now every metal panel on the car is getting refinished or entirely repainted. I'm not going to get to do this again, so may as well do ALL the body (meaning metal) mods now. I'll do the GT500 spoiler and front end later, as neither will require blending into the next panel over.

God this car is going to be sexy smooth soon!!
