I would hazard a guess of 410ft/lbs. I am thinking Ford may want to keep the hp and tq numbers similar. No real reason, but they seem to have done so in the past on a few recent engines.

+1 lol. Somehow I think it was part of Ford's evil plan. For the ugly rear to **** off all those who will be seeing it so often.

I wish you were right...but with the TiVCT most of the time the engine will make more hp than torque, especially with a high winding motor. I hope you are right though

412hp!!! Is it true???-2011-gt-potential-tq-s.jpg

Depending on where you believe the possible peek RPM number is and what the corresponding HP number will be.

Still, it leaves it up to opinion really... What I made is just a general basis... The hp numbers are just nice easy round #'s... and the peek RPM is just an educated guess as to where it will fall perhaps.

If it's useful- cool. If not, it only took me 3 min to make, so no hard feelings.

I'm hoping for an old-school Ford number myself. I think Ford will take it over the 400 mark, so I'll guess 406. .

Thumbs up

Christmas really DID come early

Hopefully Ford will now follow this up with an OFFICIAL announcement, but I'm over the moon!

WAY TO GO, FORD

All of a sudden, a 427 (BHP) Boss doesn't seem enough

It's got to be at least 450bhp

Everyone kept telling people it was 400+ but no one believed it. (and probably still won't)
400..405..407..412...415... so close to each other, its in the tune

Last summer, I was told 340hp. My guess was 350-365hp. The only way I thought it would be around 400hp, is if they supercharged it.
Is this engine really for the GT? Not a Boss or Mach1? If true, I am extremely happy! But, I'll wait for the Next Gen Mustan

Sweet Jesus!

I'll have a bunch of money around in 2012 for a Boss 302.

John I kept telling you I think the numbers you were seeing were for the F150, NOT Mustang.
It was pretty much always 400.

This is not for the SE...it is for the GT.

Torque is not over 400, that's all I'll say for now.
