Wht05vert installed both, and is still getting the error message.
I guess that when ford said the shaker 1000 was not compatible they were correct.

Hey data174,

Im new to the forums but I had a question for ya. I have a 2006 gt and it has the shaker 500. If I were to get the navi, would it be a direct replacement or is there more that I would need to buy? thanks a lot!

Welcome to th the forum. The ford navigation radio is pnp. But their are some problems related to the nav unit. If you get a chance got through all the threads this prior to this and then you can make a final determination which way you want to go.

Cheers

well ive read the first 100 posts and think you guys are doing great.

However, I am personally not interested in the GPS but I am interested in what you guys did with your units once you took them out. More specificly the shaker 500 with the text and seek on the same button. If you are willing to sell your 500 and a resonable price, PM me.

If your not sure what im talking about, lemme know, and Ill try to find pics.

All I can say is... WOW. I was so pumped at getting the OEM nav for my 07 V6 manual, but after reading all of this, I'm having second thoughts. I had no clue there were issues at all with it. Anyone have good news about it?

Themac since you have an 07 you are in a lot better shape than most of us in this thread. Most of us have 05 and 06 models which the nav unit was never intended for. If your car was built after Jan 07 you will more than likely have no issues what so ever, the install will be plug and play. If you have a early 07 you may need a new guage cluster, but that is just to get rid of the speed error. Which is more if an annoyance than an issue unles, you go in a tunnel or something blocks the GPS signal. I originally purchased one from Kevin, but sent it back after his programmer disappeared. Not Kevins fault. Then I got one off of E-bay and it has worked fine other than the the speed error which is just an extra ok when starting the nav portion of the radio.

Unfortunatly replacing the gauge cluster on an 07 does not fix the speed error either. Some of the 07s that came with the Nav unit as OEM have the same issue.

Hi All
I received the new cluster today and installed it. It still will have to be programmed at the dealer. I still have the nav error B2477 and U2473 and also have the tire monitor system light on. My 06 did not come with tms.
Will keep you posted.

Is this Tire Pressure Monitor a warning light, or does it give an actual pressure reading?

Just curious, as I have a pressure monitor in my Jeep, and it gives a reading of each tire - even the spare.

Cheers

Disapointment

Well I have to say that I have been following this thread for quite a while. There have been some ups and downs and now that this all seems to be done there is no chance of the factory system working in my 07 shaker 1000 car. Quite a disappointment. Looks like I will be looking for an aftermarket dash unit, if I can find one to work with the 1000 system. If only I had known that the 1000 system was this unique and difficult to deal with I would have opted for the 500 and spent the saved money on a high quality installed system.

Any suggestions on an aftermarket nav unit to drive the Shaker 1000 subs?

The tire monitoring system was government mandated on all 2007 and up. My 2006 GT did not have TMS. I hope that they can shut off the warning signal and light. On the 2007 and up it will be illegal for the dealers to shut off the TMS system. Maybe when they scan the as is data from my vehicle it will sense that my vehicle does not have TMS. This new system creates a problem when installing after market wheels. It requires that you move the TMS sensors from the old wheels to the new wheels, that becomes costly.

Yes, but my question was, is the TMS an idiot light or does it give actual pressure for each tire? It sounds like it is just a light?

Cheers

It is just the idiot light. All the system are not in place to work correctly.

Hi All
Well I picked up my GT today. The tpms light is off and its back to square one. Replacing the wheel speed sensors, and a late model cluster has not resolved the B2477 config. failure and the speed control U2473 error. I will keep in contact with Will at H&H and see if he has had any luck solving this problem. I have tried contacting Kevin, but have not been successful.

Cheers

Hi All
I am looking for any member that has a 2007 or 2008 Mustang with a nav.system that is working correctly, to post pictures or text of the configuration system, when you run the diagnostics on the nav radio. The configuration of those units might anwer some of the problems configuring the new nav units.

Thanks Al

I've been watching since day one, shaking my head.

Here are the config screens on a 2008 GT/CS Coupe Job 2 Nav.

Navigation Radio Diagnostics

USMC0341
Turn your radio on and select FM1. Then by pressing #3and#6 and holding them down for approximately 3 seconds the system will switch into speaker test mode. Push the exit button on the bottom, and it will switch to diagnostic mode. The first mode will do a complete scan of unit for any errors. The second will give you a list of any errors. And the third is the configuration settings on your radio. You will have to scroll down to see all the pages. I saw a thread some place by ford on how to do the daignostics on the nav radio. Give it a try you will find interesting.

Cheers Al
