Videos? Really? ****, I just had mine reprogrammed by H&H a few weeks ago, and they never mentioned that. I would've loved to have that done. I don't really want to take it out again (for the n'th time) though, I might just wait on that.

Someone else get it done and let us know how it works, post a video of the video, etc.

I'm waiting for my NAV to come back. KC issued the UPS tracking number so I will find out where it is when I get home. I am expecting it back in a few days. After that, I'll install it and find out what's up!!

GREAT info on cloning the 6P NAV disc... I just happen to know someone with a 2008 Stang and the new NAV disc!!! Maybe it just miiiight find it's way into my computer during a clone session...

I'll keep you guys posted as to what happens.

The number for H&H Distributers is 1 469 767 4846 or 1 800 631 0681

They programmed my nav to display the Ford emblem, have the 'convertible' setting enabled, as well as enable 'line in jack' and 'satelite radio'. I recommend these guysAs for the speed error, yes it is there and always will be.

Cheers

The convertible setting makes the volume increase when the top is down. The line in setting allows the nav to use an external source, much like the line in jack in the 08's. I don't actually have a line in jack set up, but at least now I can do it.

My speed volume does work, but I still get the speed error. On the diagnostics, I also get an ECU error.

At least now the Mercury emblem is gone and Ford is there on start up.

Cheers

data174,
The programming worked great, I haven't had any problems with the radio. They called me to double check what I wanted, and what options (line in, satellite, etc) I needed programmed.

I do still get the error that something might not work (speed sensor) but it sounds like that's just because I have an early '07 without the newer gauge cluster and wheel sensors. I can easily live with it the way it is.

Thanks jayguy
I tried to send KC a pm, but have not seen any return. I have a 2006 GT with the shaker 500. I was trying to findout if his tech.was still available for programing. Also what updated part numbers it would take to replace the cluster and wheel sensors.
Cheers on having progressed to only the speed error.

The wheel sensors send the information from each wheel to the vehicle computer to determine the vehicles speed. I cant figure out why they need 4. The price was not that bad for 4,and should be fairly easy to install.
Also can you supply me with the 2008 build cluster that you installed, the parts person can only find the build date to March of 2006.

Thanks Al

Has anyone replaced these wheel speed sensors and the instrument cluster and gotten the speed error to go away?

I spoke with KC and ordered the wheel sensors. I am trying to obtain the latest build date for the cluster, but they can only find the build date of March 2006. I am waiting for a reply from wht05vert to see what the built date cluster he insalled. The price was not to bad for 4sensors, and should be fairly easy to install.

I bought my new instrument cluster online from Bob Utter Ford in Sherman, TX 866-941-3673 It was $240 with a $300 core charge. I told them what I needed, and they sold me a cluster with a part number for a 2008 Mustang, with the understanding it was going in to a 2005.

The new cluster had a build date of January 2008 stamped on the back.

They have their supplier program the new cluster with your exact mileage, and when you send in the core, somehow they close the loop with Ford so there is no impact on your warranty.

If anyone installs the wheel sensors, I would be interested to know what they cost.

I purchased the wheel sensors for my 2006 gt they should be arriving this week. The price is about $40 each. They should be fairly simple to install.
If you get a chance can you look at you invoice and see what the part number is.
Who did you speak with at Bob Utter Ford.

Thanks

I cant remember the guy's name, they have one guy that handles all the online sales. I've bought a bunch of parts from them and it's always the same guy.

They still owe me the core charge, I'll call them tomorrow find out where my money is and order the wheel sensors. I'll post the guy's name.

Good luck with your project and thanks for the imput.

Thanks for the info. I was going to call them but I was hoping to get the part number from you on the cluster with the 2008 build. When you contact some dealers they can not find the information without a part number. I did not obtain the part numbers on the wheel sensors yet,but when they arrive I will post them.

Thanks Al
